I watched about 15 minutes of this before I flipped over to SDSU/CSU. Couldn't handle it because of the blonde woman ref who seemed to blow the whistle every 6 seconds. Does she ref a lot of games?
I watched the replay twice...and I think this was one of the worst officiated championship games I have ever seen. Inconsistent doesn't touch the scatter-shot calls in this game. It wasn't just the woman...it was all three of them. The game was close to being out of control because of all the contact KY was allowed. Stricklen was really boned on at least two calls...and Simmons was "rookie-ed" like she was playing her first game. It was the worst the LVs have been treated in the tournament in years, IMO. I wish someone of stature in the SEC would review the game with those refs in attendance and ask them about no contact fouls agains LVs while allowing the other team constant contact-or just at least ask them about each call. It's almost like they tried to make up for the poor gals that had to play against Tennessee on their best night. I feel sorry for them too (a little), but one would think that the refs had enough integrity to call the game straight up even. No questionable call went LVs way, meanwhile UK, Victoria Dunlap, esp., could do whatever they/she pleased without risk of fouling out. It was a total mess of a game except that Tennessee luckily had "one of those nights" shooting.
