I wish this sport was on more often. In my opinion, it's better than NCAA Baseball. Could be that there are attractive girls my age in softball pants playing, but it's still very interesting to watch.

CWS format question: If the final series a best of three whether or not a team comes into it with one loss? In other words, if oklahoma loses a game to washington but then advances to the finals with a win, are they out with one loss to the Vols, or does UT still have to win two in the final series?

Unless the format has changed since 2007, it is double elimination up to the championship series, where it becomes best of three. It does NOT matter whether you beat your championship series opponent previously or not. This struck me as patently unfair (and it still does) when we beat Arizona on 6/1/2007 and marched through our bracket undefeated to participate in the Championship Series against Arizona, who emerged from the losers' bracket. We then beat Arizona again 3-0 in Game One. Despite having already lost twice to us, Arizona won the last two games (1-0 and 5-0) to win the World Series. See 2007 Women's College World Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

I been a fan since Abbott. I would rather watch softball than anything but football.

Me as well EG. In order of preference for me to watch;
Football, tie with men's bb & Lady Vols bb, then Lady Vols SB. Can't wait for the first 3 to get started. GBO!

Easily the biggest win for UT since Candace and the girls won the NC in '08.

They should have won in '07 but didn't. Maybe they'll pull it out in a year when they shouldn't, Reds vs A's, 1990 style... :)

Either way, very proud of them for a wonderful season and a nice Vol pick-me-up before the football season starts.

Last night on ESPN post-game Cheri Kempf summed up my interest as a male with softball--it's all about the pitching. The spins, the ability to go up and down, left and right. It almost seems like it would be a guessing game as a batter.

Enjoyed catching that game yesterday afternoon. Knocked the dust off of a few of my Vol caps and had the whole family with me in the garage. Very cool to see.
