All I know is that the Vols defense completely dominated the Irish offense in holding them to ONLY 216 yards of total offense.

I really thought that even without Ainge, the Vols would be able to make the 10-7 halftime score stick.

However, the boneheaded play by Clausen resulting in a Notre Dame interception for touchdown changed the Vols' gameplan for the rest of the game.

However, the key to the game midway through the 4th quarter was the Vols inability to gain 1-yard on Notre Dame's 34 yard line. Hat's off to the Notre Dame defense... because whether it was Ainge or Clausen... the Vols offensive line was ineffective all day.

Yes, that was a key play, and a play we should have made. I'm not so sure we would have won with Ainge in there. The line was not blocking for anybody. It's just easy to point to that and say we would have won.

Where was the "Jabari Davis over the top" play on that 4th and 1?????

From what I read @ tennessean.com yesterday, Sanders put the blame on Trooper for that one. He says he's the one that normally makes the call on who is going to be in there. I don't buy it, myself. At least not on a crucial play such as that.

I really think that both the players and coaches thought that they could just kinda run through motions in the second half and win the game.

It shouldn't have mattered who was in the game. Far be it from me to join the booger eating second guessers. But for me aside from Ainge getting hurt, that was the most disappointing play of the game. What was Riggs thinking?? Run it up in there hard, dive, spike somebody, but don't dance and tip-toe toward the line on 4th and 1. :dunno:

I hate to second guess but I agree, don't dance, RUN,PUSH, SCRATCH AND CLAW! I would of liked to see Cedric in there. It's over now, next.

GO VOLS!
