If you aren't satisfied today, it means expectations are high.

If you are happy, it means things have improved.

If you are still determining good, you can add a lot. Focus on adding positive content about recruits you love and on the misses you felt we squandered.

In the end, you finally are mostly all correct. We aren't hoping to improve; we are working to do better. We aren't just wishing we had studs; we landed some. We aren't hoping we beat some teams. We know we better.

Most of all, welcome back to being genuinely relevant. Teams celebrate when they beat us on the field again and in recruiting. It's not the other way around like it has been for too long.

We didn't win it all; we sure aren't done, but we took another big step in a positive direction.

I just want us to dominate like we did in the 90’s. Until that happens again, you’re gonna get mixed emotions here.

just lower your expectations a bit. I became a Vol fan in 2020 and I've been loving it. If I had expectations of winning a natty every year I'd imagine I would not be as happy.

I don't think that people necessarily expect a National Title, they just don't want to lose every year to Alabama, Florida, and Georgia like Tennessee seems to do. The issue with that, is that to beat some of those teams you have to be a National Title Contender.

So Tony Robbins is a Vol fan?

I am not satisfied. We should always be in top 10 in recruiting with a top 5 class every few years. With the facilities UT has, we should never be outside the top ten. I wouldn’t care if we were killing it in the portal but we are not doing that either. To me, we should be doing better on signing day as well as the portal.

This will be Heupel’s third class and given the dumpster fire he inherited I think he definitely has us moving in the right direction. I wish real life was more like Nintendo where you can just hit reset and start anew on even footing with everyone else but unfortunately, that’s not reality.

You guys need to chill a little bit. The cake is still cooking. You are judging before it is finished cooking. There is still a lot of moving parts going on. Lets wait till it is all over with in Jan. before rushing to judgement. You could very well be getting your top 10 class.

we didn't dominate as much as people like to remember. at least not compared to today's standard.

5 years with double digit wins over 10 years wouldn't be considered dominate today. 2 eastern titles, 1 SEC, 1 National Title. that would still have us as 4th best team in the SEC the last decade. Ours 90s run would look like LSU has in the last 10 years. and I at least would never say LSU has been dominant over that span.

"Four-star and five-star prospects are rated as 'blue-chip' prospects — Tennessee's class sits at No. 6 nationally in blue-chip percentage at 68.42%. " On3

I'm very satisfied with this class.

We have a relatively small class in quantity, and the overall national rankings take volume into effect in their format. That's why we are 13th by that calculation. In reality, we have a top ten class in quality.

End of the day facilities dont matter, honestly. Put guys in the league and overall you get better.

You can sell playing time in a rebuild, or if you're a snake oil salesman like butch every year(!).

You can sell coeds like lane did, but that's pretty trashy and possibly illegal.

You can straight up buy players. And occasionally we do that. And before anyone gets mad phillip probably did it and johnny probably did it. It's just legal now.

You can sell relationships with the staff, and that's the sweet spot every team wants to be in and they all claim to be in. It's good if it's true. Hopefully with this staff it's true. Anyway I think it is.

But in the end, if you can get a kid in the league... that's it. Period. The end. They'll wait their turn to play for you.

Facilities?... that's an old man joke. UT only built all that crap to offset the profit from the program. Gotta hide that cash in loans and construction. Funny thing about a nonprofit is that you really have to hide a pile of cash

That’s definitely what the elite HS players are looking at. And while it’s a small percentage of college players who actually make it in the pros, it’s a much higher percentage of HS kids who think they will be the ones who make it. And it’s this population of players that all the schools want.

Kids being recruited see that 26 Vols have been drafted into the NFL over the last decade while schools like Bama (90), LSU (73), Georgia (67), Florida (61), Ohio State (78), Michigan (59), Clemson (55), Oklahoma (51) are factories for putting players into the NFL. It's a tough sell to get a five star to even look at us - let alone sign - when they are advised to go to a proven commodity. Kind of amazing we have commitments from 2 coming off an 8-4 season.

Keep on the improving trend and let’s hope Nico is the truly special player we think he will be - a special QB (Hooker) can elevate the play of the entire team, but a bad QB (JG) can destroy a team.

The word "Dominate" has a meaning that isn't "wins a bit more often". lol

If folks here aren't going to be happy until UT runs roughshod over today's SEC like we did when Bama, UGA and UF sucked as bad as the rest of the SEC, then they will literally be the legion of the miserable. I mean, Geez. Our national championship in the 90s needed a late-game Arkansas fumble-that-wasn't a fumble, miracle.

We now have Bama, UGA, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, TAMU. UF will get their **** together eventually. Ole Miss is throwing money at success, as is Mizzu, who's also throwing legislation at success.

If we are going to dominate, y'all better be praying for our success as well as several meteorite strikes.
