Well, after thinking about this for a while, I think the best explanation of Holly is that she was Pat's equivalent of executive secretary of the coaches. And she did a fine job as that for Pat. Now the question is was Pat mentally in a position to pick her best successor? And of course Holly won't quit until she collects her full "pension" salary. So my guess she won't be replaced until her contract is up. Couple more years to go.

What I'm confused about is the recruiting... I said two years ago they werent recruiting aNy height. They also don't appear to recruit players who compliment each other. There's a lot of mediocre players. Also I think these plAyers take it for granted they are LAdy Vols and expect things to be given to them. This is obvious with the whining and poor body language when things don't suit them. Maybe the whole program needs a refresh. I love Pat Summitt just about as much as anyone else but the weight of her legacy weighs the program down. This is not the same team, not the same game, not the same type of attitudes Pat had. Different generation.

It's hard for me to put into words the disgust I have right now for this team. With there attitude going into the NCAAT they will lose their first game. I'm not watching it. As for next yr Holly will bring in the #1 recruiting class that won't develope with her being the soft, confused, coach that she is. It's a Shame with about 7 players in the top 100 recruited in the country we lose to a team 3 times in a yr! Unacceptable! Did Holly even study film on the team that beat them twice or did the team just go in think hey they can't beat us again. We usually win in tournaments. smh

You do realize that the person who mentored her, prepared her, influenced her and endorsed her was Coach Pat Summitt. You think she would have entrusted her shrine to someone she had no confidence in? Obviously there's a lot of top recruits who believe in her. maybe the LV faithful should also.

You truly believe just because you coached for and are mentored by a great coach that automatically makes you a great coach? :thud::crazy:

Coaches In order of departure by resignation or firing.

CHW --- will probably get another yr. This is unfortunate but the recruiting class and new AD are probably factors. Replacements may play into this but is unknown.

CDS --- This season will be a determining factor. Replacement is on board? Todd Helton?

CBJ --- 2 years, Reasons: Buyout, relationships, New AD knows the importance of the next hire and needs time. New AD also knows how bad it got. CBJ will do enough to get by. CBJ did stabilized the dumpster fire.

CRB --- 3 years, Reasons: Another Fire to put out, close to retirement and he is well respected by donors, players and others. Plus just a mess and to many other firings to occur before we get to a lesser firing.

Others --- Track and Field, Swimming, Tennis and Golf. Good cheap hires and replaceable at a giving notice.

He can come in like a lion and fire them all, justification and we would be at ground zero to build upon but I think he will give some lead way on firing and hiring. Surprised CHW did not do a complete coaching overhaul, but she may not have because of recruiting.

Start easy with the obvious --- CHW and CDS enough time to focus on football and basketball at a later time.

Same with football and men's basketball. Why zero in on the LV's? They'll achieve more than the other two.

The great class gives her next year. If she doesn't challenge in the SEC and NCAA with those players, she should be fired after next season. Same goes for Serrano this year and Butch next season.
