I had reservations about whether or not he was "the guy" heading into next season before tonight despite handling the Vandy game very well. Now, there's no question. Let Hartman and McCall find their future homes somewhere else, because Tennessee is Milton's team next fall and Nico's in 2024.

All along everyone has said he just needs touch on his passes. Tonight, he really seemed to show it. Yes, there is room to grow, but another off season in the system and he COULD potentially be what we all know he has the potential to be. I'm far more optimistic about next season than I was before tonight. Clemson is littered with blue chip talent on both sides of the ball. No this is not their best team ever but the pieces are there. Milton looked great for most of the night. Fingers crossed but Milton could be the answer next year, which would be amazing to give Nico another year to grow. Great win, great for Milton, great for us. GBO

Lots O key players out

Milton still needs some work…….but he hasn’t had a ton of game action.

He was GREAT tonight!!!

I only saw 1 bad over throw that I remember. He made some real good short and intermittent passes and even a long pass with plenty of touch on it.

I've been a doubter but he played lights out tonight and they all gave us a glimpse into next year and its lookin pretty good.

The things I was looking for:

How was he going to run the offense
How was he going to go through progressions

I think he did pretty well on both, and will get better and more efficient. He had a very solid game.

Has one hell of a arm. He has plenty to work on over the offseason but he showed up tonight when he had too. Clemson has a legit defense.. Congrats to Joe.. I hope he doesn't turn me into a alcoholic next year.

Milton played very well, and I love it for him and the team. Very well-deserved MVP award tonight. Unfortunately, people will constantly compare Joe Milton to Hendon Hooker, and I don’t think that’s fair. Hooker was the best QB we have had at UT since Peyton Manning. Hooker was special, and I don’t think many people realize exactly how perfectly he fit this offense. His quick decision making was off the charts, and his accuracy was excellent. I don’t think Milton will be as good as Hooker, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think Milton will not be very good.
