Congratulations MVP Joe Milton

Somebody please tell me what Anthony Richardson (who will be a high first round pick) has that Milton doesn’t.
What all these draft analysts and scouts are looking for in Levis and Richardson to find the next Josh Allen type of potential they’re gonna find in Milton next year. If he plays like this or better next year he’ll be a first rounder and has all the physical tools for a good NFL coach to try to groom him into what he could potentially be.

Some loud doubters on this site and social media. But what an outstanding night for QB1. Congratulations on your Orange Bowl MVP trophy. Very deserving.
I agree he's the obvious MVP, but if there was a most valuable aspect to the game, it would have to be the defense for me. Those guys gave up a ton of yards but clocked over 101 plays and over 36 min in time of possession yet only surrenders 14 points. I know you could argue that they didn't have great stats, but when they needed a stop they got it. I'd have thought that bunch would have folded in the second half due to fatigue, but they found a second, third and fourth wind and held up against the #7 team in the country. Kudos to that bunch. MVP-like performance by that unit.

Much better speed and elusiveness. AR has legit 4.4 speed. Other than that, the advantages go to Milton. I think a better case can be made in Milton/Levis. There is literally nothing Levis does that Milton can't also do.

Milton played very well, and I love it for him and the team. Very well-deserved MVP award tonight. Unfortunately, people will constantly compare Joe Milton to Hendon Hooker, and I don’t think that’s fair. Hooker was the best QB we have had at UT since Peyton Manning. Hooker was special, and I don’t think many people realize exactly how perfectly he fit this offense. His quick decision making was off the charts, and his accuracy was excellent. I don’t think Milton will be as good as Hooker, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think Milton will not be very good.
Would be awesome if Joe Milton was our Tee Martin.

He stepped up, led the team and showed a lot of progress from the beginning of last season.

I think improving the manueverability and footwork might be his biggest challenges at this point. Just looks stiff in the pocket still.

He has a good handle on the offense and made the correct reads I thought. Didn't see any really bad throws into coverage or missed open receivers.

Two of those TD passes were as good as it could be thrown. McElroy gushed over them too.

that was a gutsy game all the way around for the entire team, and milton deserves everything that’s coming his way. game MVP to start.

his time has come and we are lucky to have him and his incredible arm for one more year between the Hooker and Nico transition.

kudos to all the players that played with heart last night and showed up like they did, especially beasley, young, squirrel, bru and keyton.

they made us proud and it truly is great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!

I have been labeled a Joe hater which then got me a labeled a negavol.

Neither are accurate. I actually think he played well but has several areas to improve.

I believe there were several players including the rushers as a group that could have been named MVP. Joe earned it last night.

He will need to improve to compete witch the upcoming SEC schedule next year.

Compliments to Joe, enjoy and know that improvement going forward is still a must.

That TD pass to McCoy looked like a sidewinder missile leaving his hand. That 30 yd in the air pass had zero arc on it. Joe Missile!

I like Joe Milton and he obviously has all the physical attributes to be a great VOL and perhaps NFL QB. I also admire his attitude while at Tennessee... he is not a quitter. There is just something I think he needs to tweak. At the risk of sounding judgmental...

I believe for Joe to achieve his potential he needs to approach his game with a more business-like and serious attitude. I don't know how he conducts himself in the QB room, on the practice field, in the film room etc. I get turned off when I see him bobbing his head and dancing during games. I hope to see him develop a more serious approach. There's a balance between staying loose; and , going about your business.

Love ya Joe and wishing you and your team great success in 2023!

More encouraged about the future after Joe's performance. Way to GO Joe.

I think he was a bit self conscious about overthrowing people, that's why he under threw Keyton on a couple of deep strikes in the first half. Once he puts the doubt behind him, he's gonna be a baller! Yesterdays game should put a serious dent in that mindset.

Played better than I expected him to, his problem has always been between his ears, if he can fix that, who knows.

Joe played a great game! Could not be more proud of him. He is a true VFL. He could have easily taken the easy route like every other spoiled / privileged college football in today’s college football and left via the transfer portal but he chose to stay and continue working his ass off to get better. That’s what great men do rather than be a f’ing spoiled / privileged punk and take his ball and go elsewhere. Good luck to these spoiled / privileged pathetic brats in the world after football. Sad state of affairs! Thanks NCAA for f’ing up the great game of college football.

Milton can run--he's big and athletic---and I hope to see us run him on designed plays on 3rd/4th downs next year. Think of all the big first downs Tebow
got for Florida several years ago: 3rd/4th and two, and they ran the guy, a lot, and almost always made the first.
