I really am happy for the kid. He gave his all for us but was just thrown in at the worst of times. I knew that he could be a good QB if he ever got his confidence back. Chaney has done a full Coach Cut, Erik Ainge with him.
Peterman was a 4 star prospect and has always had the physical tools. Coach Chaney is a helluva OC and he has that kid playing with poise and confidence. I won't be shocked one bit if Perterman ends up drafted in a couple of years.
It's all about the system. Peterman is a good fit for cheneys vertical passing game, and he was a bad fit for our quick hit passing game. Cheney was the one who recruited him in the 1 st place so it makes since that he would thrive under his tutlige.
Congrats to him! He is a really, really great guy and he gave his all for Tennessee. He justcould not get it done on the field here, but not because of heart or lack of effort. He seemed to be a great teammate just looking from the outside in. Glad he found playing time and that it's worked out for both schools.
Cool story bro post but I was actually in Atlanta this past weekend to visit a friend at GT. Went over to Bobby Dodd five minutes before kickoff with a UT shirt on and managed to get on the front-row of their student section - *ACC football*. Shouted "Knoxville loves you" at Peterman after his first TD throw and got a point and salute from him.
Amazing game-winning drive on his part. Side-note: GT has to be one of the most beautiful campuses in the south.
He really is a great kid who just needed a shot he wasn't going to get here. Kid has a very strong arm and is athletic enough. Just not as physically gifted as Dobbs
Message boards are about conversation and information. The OP was short on info... Also, some of us are primarily on mobile, not always easy to get info on a crappy connection.
Happy for Nate. I will be rooting for Pitt while NP is their QB.
BTW DD I personally thought the "Redneck history of Islam" thing was pretty funny.
