That would be like Kiffin getting credit for the development of Zach Rogers or Tyler Bray.
Bray was committed to San Diego State when we entered the picture. Granted, his performances at Elite 11 camps got him noticed, but there still weren't a lot of suiters for him. If Bray went No.1, I'm sure Kiffin would deserve a little credit for bringing him up to this level. Pretty sure CBJ also coached him for a bit, too. Good "Glass Half-Empty" outlook, though.

What is "glass half empty" about this? What exactly does Eric Fisher being drafted #1 have to do with Butch Jones? Yes, Jones convinced Fisher to attend Central Michigan instead of Eastern Michigan (or whatever). He was 240 lbs. when he got to campus. Butch left after his Frosh. year. So, Butch taught him everything as a Frosh?

This isn't anti-Butch Jones...You people are just reaching for anything to grab on to. Did Mort even mention UT or did he say Butch Jones? I didn't hear it.

Mort basically credited Butch with doing exactly what he was responsible for, i.e. evaluation and recruitment of a diamond in the rough prospect, one who turned out to be the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. Nobody was saying that Butch was responsible for his development at CMU beyond his freshman year. This does reflect positively, however, on Butch's evaluation skills and certainly will not hurt him on the recruiting trails to be able to point out that "one of my former players was selected first in the 2013 draft."
