National Security Agency whistleblower Reality Winner has been released from federal prison early for 'good behavior'.

The 29-year-old was released on Monday from the prison in Fort Worth, Texas, her lawyer said.

Winner, who was arrested in Georgia in June 2017 and spent more than a year in prison prior to being sentenced, was scheduled to be released in November this year.

Winner is still in custody in the residential reentry process, according to her lawyer.

Winner was arrested in June 2017 just two months after she copied a classified NSA report suggesting that Russian hackers attacked a US voting software supplier before the 2016 presidential election.

She then gave the document to online news publication The Intercept.

Likely the standard time reduction for good behavior. Think its like 20% in club fed. Thats why fed time is more concerning to people who get convicted. Most do 80% of the sentence minimum vs state level convictions which can be as low as 40% and get paroled.

The ruling states that the information produced by the FBI’s unlawful investigation into Page was illegally obtained and that it “found violations of the government’s duty of candor in all four applications.” The ruling also orders the government that “it must temporarily retain, and potentially use and disclose, the information collected, largely in the context of ongoing or anticipated litigation.”
