Never heard of this guy to comment on him before his election. Not even sure what the hell you're talking about with the pure intentions comment. Pure intention to differentiate him from Trump? I had to get in early or it's illegitimate? What is happening in this thread? I gotta talk to actual libertarians, not bring up Trump, and have pure intentions. So many hoops to jump through to appease. Either he's different from Trump and Eakle's/I'm right or he's very similar to Trump and I'm wrong. My intentions have no bearing.
Allow me to start over. I’m not trying to make anyone a victim or have anyone jump through hoops. I’ll even state up front I 100% agree Trump and Milei are not anywhere close to the same on policy.
This guy’s tweets you shared strike me as really disingenuous. It’s because in their tone they seek to run down “MAGA” / conservatives versus celebrate a Libertarian win in a country that desperately needs it.
The question in the tweets you shared was:
“So why are MAGA conservatives, nationalists, and other big government extremists on the right claiming he's one of them?”
“MAGA conservatives in the USA are celebrating Javier Milei's win as though his platform is somehow similar to theirs. This is hilarious and laughable.MAGA has more in common with the candidates Milei defeated than with Milei himself.”
Maybe it’s because they have been told that by multiple big media sources. I provided evidence for this. You can google it and find many more. Argentina’s Trump. Mini Trump.
The points he is trying to make get drowned out by his whiney tone which is sadly synonymous with Libertarians. They spend more time playing sanctimonious than developing candidates to carry forward a coherent message.
So it seems really disingenuous to me to now spend time using this win for Libertarians to run down Trump supporters…especially if he was silent when the Trump badge was being attached to Milei’s candidacy, which I provided evidence for in the links of my last post. That’s what I meant about true intentions. His tweets come off to me more as a smear and less of an affirmation of Milei’s agenda.
