750K is not a bad chunk. But...That is paid over the 16 game season. Then you have to file taxes in each state you played a game in. Plus money management fees to the accountants, plus budget net income over 12 months, while paying rent/mortgage in at least 2 locations. Your home town where the family lives, and an apartment where your team is located. I doubt there is much change left over unless/until you perform well enough to knock down a good contract. Prob a good portion of league minimum players seek off-season income elsewhere.
