Corey Stanton leaving

Walk-on Corey Stanton leaving team according to govolsxtra. Anyone know much about him and situation?

He can't afford to stay here - he wasn't getting a scholarship (like he originally thought) so he has no way to pay tuition.

Its unfortunate because he wants to be here.

I don't have any idea what was offered and what wasn't, but the kid has already left 2 D1programs in 1 year.

Red Flag for sure. Kid was never going to contribute and SEC hoops is business. Feelings get hurt that's the facts.

On a different view, I'm glad CCM took the "business" approach. It was last nov/dec when he took Stanton, and probably thought they could really use him. Maybe he made promises, maybe he just inferred things, w don't know. However, no matter what was discussed, props to CCM for realizing where we are and not giving Stanton a scholarship. We are in on much better talent for next years class, and giving him a scholarship would have limited our options for next years class. I hate it for Stanton, because the kid definitely wanted to be here and always has wanted to. However, this is a business and CCM definitely did what was best for the program by not giving him a scholarship,

I'll assume you mean a big back court.
