Corker was unpopular well before TrumpTrump tried to force Corker out, which opened the door to Bredesen. If Corker had remained, I'm not sure Bredesen runs, nor do I think Bredesen could have beaten Corker if he had run against him. Blackburn is a weak, unpopular candidate. So, if Bredesen wins, this is on Trump. Corker may not have been a full-fledged ally of Trump, but on his agenda, he pretty much was.
