So how ya gonna feel if he shows up and wants to play for the Vols? I mean, he won't show up and want to, but he could.

It sounds like he's one slip up away from the initial report becoming true. It's hard to get in the head of someone that naturally talented who doesn't want to put the minimum effort in (show up on time) with his entire future as a potential professional athlete at stake.

You get to pull those kind of antics generally if you're a top player that's already proven it on the field. You can't do it when you're trying to prove you deserve a roster spot.

Shortly after social media indicated that Florida Gators defensive back Cormani McClain had been dismissed from the program, multiple reports, including a statement by McClain’s agent, claim that the initial rumor is false and McClain is still with the program.
This is deep conspiratorial thinking, but if it didn't happen this time, it might in some other similar situation:

What if an agent had someone put it out on social media that his player has been dismissed, just so he could field contacts from "possibly interested" schools, as a way of testing his player's value on the market?

That would have to be value measured in other ways, though, because until his image undergoes a public renovation, his NIL value is nil. His name, image, and likeness are Mudd for the moment. But some boosters might "pad" his year in exile at a JUCO, in exchange for his commitment to finish his career in their adopted program.

Yep that is some deep 💩. The kid is a Gator pwo, so everything thing he gets he will have to earn, that might po his agent some but not enough to start some bs in hopes of a better deal. Kid is labeled a problem whether he deserves it or not and he certainly doesn't need another ahh 💩 moment.

Best advice for him be coachable
