But wasn't it J. James that admitted during the DD days, he and others were going to workouts and writing on their report sheets that they had worked out when they hadn't????

After this draft, I can't help but wonder how much this cost our guys in the draft, let alone how many close games it might have cost us??? :banghead2:

Glad those days are behind us!

I think there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that Derek Dooley was the worst head football coach in Tennessee's long and storied history.

But those players sure learned how to get squeaky clean after practice... gotta count for something

I defended that guy for most of his time here, but his policy toward former players of GTFO, was the final straw for me! That was inexcusable! :machgun:

I wouldn't be surprised if McNeil had been skipping workouts...

I think McNeil forgets to take off his ankle weights during games.

Yes, Derek Doolander is the worst coach in the history of UT football and yes, there is no doubt the lack of effort to get better affected the team and each individual's ability to compete, win, and get drafted.

I hope this draft serves as a HUGE lesson to all current and future players that think getting into the NFL simply requires specific measurables. Its obviously about way more.

No better time for a wake up call than with 30+ incoming freshman that, more than likely, have big egos.

History will also show Mike Hamilton as the worst ever athletic director for hiring someone coming off of a 4-8 season.

Not defending Dooley but if you guys think this did not happen under any other coach you are living in a dream world. Stuff like this happens at every school and under every coach past and present.

OK guys, we have established Derek Dooley was a crappy coach who's arrogance toward alumni players, failure to establish good relationships that would attract top rated recruits, and general bad decision making has led to the uphill struggles Butch Jones is trying to overcome.

Do we have to continue to live in the past? Guys, I really it is about time we just move along from the past, and put our thoughts toward an improving present, and a promising future. GO VOLS.

living in the past should be perfectly acceptable here, considering our tradition and history are two of the only things keeping us sane when talking about football. Plus we cant blame everything on ESPN.

Yes, I have to live in the past.
That's the only place we are relevant.

Doolster only has 1 winning season on his coaching resume. That is horrible horrible horrible. What would possess anyone to think that he would be successful here is beyond me.

All I know is he worked real hard under CBJ, especially in the Summer months. Lots of video support for that.

Edit: forget about that comment, I was thinking of Rajon Neal.

I'd love for kiffen to be head coach of bama and dooley to be head coach of Georgia along with muschump at Florida. That would bring back glory days even faster.

Only until July, then we can talk more about this season!
