It's not like there was any question of who "they" were. And our fanbase capitalized and merchanized based off of it. You can still find the shirt for sale on multiple platforms. And there are probably close at least 1000 of them walking around campus every game day.

100% the same thing in terms of the trash/class scale. The difference is the way we did it isn't really mockable unless you are a prude. A QB painting his nails and then losing is so lame. Both are lacking class, but fans will generally like it if it's your team and you don't fumble the bag.

Good point, although I'd say the fingernail thing's trashier per the effort it took. And speaking of glass houses we have last year's baseball team.

I'm not sure our fanbase had much room to talk given the number of UT shirts containing f- bombs I saw at the orange bowl. When did that become a thing?

I’m sure there are a few college football fans out there who weren’t fond of “The Gaulden Salute” against Alabama a few years back….

But I LOVED it!!!!!

I have really mixed feelings about all this stuff, but none of it is that serious. I laughed at the Gaulden Salute, but I can't say that I approve.

On my first, last and only trip to Tuscaloosa for a UT-Bama game in '95, I walked past a lady who appeared to be in her mid 60s or so standing at a street corner before the game yelling "Roll Tide" repeatedly and wearing a shirt that read "You can't spell SL*T without UT". I simply leaned in as I walked by and said "I bet your grandkids are proud!"

No one questions when eye black isnt exactly used as eye black directly below the eyes.
