We are 1 4 Star commit away from Passing Georiga, Penn State and USC..

yeah that is what I said earlier and I think people looked over it...shoot, we are probably one 3 star away from passing them....USC three spots ahead only has I think 50 more points than us

Lets take this into consideration....Florida is being talked about as having the greatest class of all time. Make no mistake, I do think they have an amazing class with 4--5* and 16--4*. Now lets assume they don't add anymore which I'm sure they will, but just for arguments sake...

If we sign some who we think are very possible to end up at UT--

Rogers--5*
Nance--2*
Clark--4*
Stone--4*
Jones--4*
Neal--4*
Glass--3*
Robinson--4*

That leaves UT with 1--5* and 16--4*. Now I know that a lot of things have to happen for this to fall into place, but as for what we have been through in the last few weeks, this would be pretty impressive. I also think it would leave us as a top 5 class.

Anyway, lets hope next week shapes up real nice for us.

Problem is you have to 1) get Stone, Robinson and Rogers and 2) hold onto Jones, Copeland, Loften and Williams assuming you take 28 in this class.

Dooley's doing a comendable job keeping us in the hunt.

I'd consider it great if we were to land Stone, Chaz Green, Da'Freak Rogers & Calvin Smith

Better yet, I would make DD a patron saint of recruiting. By the way, here's hoping we can "reverse the curse" on your avys.

every sign I see is Jones is a sign and place do we even want to screw with that at this point?

I think we get rogers I live in chattanooga area and not far from calhoun so I have heard alot things saying we got a really good shot at turning him. I have heard we have already turned him and him and nance wanted to committ on their visit ,but nance's dad wanted them to wait and think before they made a quik descision. Rogers lives with nance family so they are like brothers. we get both! also saw delvin jones is expected to sign with us even tho he is decommitted at the time. we lead for stone. chaz green definitly not goin to be in k town may be long shot tho. we will get runningbacks rajion neal and rajon bennett both from state of georgia. both 4 star rb's. I had heard ambles dad say tenn still leads for him but that was before the visit to usc. I wish we get him. wait until next year we will have one of the best classes in history, laugh all you want but when it happens you will think back to this.

No inside info but I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the coordinators may in fact be in place. DD has been really hush hush about what's happening, just a thought. We will know more after NSD

I heard a rumor that Chaney was gonna be Offensive Coordinator.

Props to Coach Dooley, and his assistants. I think the "sky is falling" membership club is dwindling by the hour. Sometimes what seems to be a major disaster at the time, turns out to be a better situation in the long run. Everything happens for a reason.

so we have 21. If we only lose Williams we are back at 20 with being able to take 7 more.

Stone
Glass
Neal
Bennett
Crump
Clark
Rogers

We make room though for Calvin Smith, Ambles(not happening), Dixon, and Chaz.

Funny to see how after DD was hired and I said I expected our final class around 9 how many people on here blasted me for "knowing nothing about recruiting."

I am still hoping all the top uncommitted guys we have no shot with sign with Texas and they pass Florida for the top class.

i think its still more of a hold on to what we got scenario right now though.

If we get Stone and Glass, now that we have plenty of QBs on roster, our biggest need is DT by far.

We HAVE to sign at least 1 more DT in this class. John Brown isn't 100% guaranteed to get in.

This is a great class even if DD doesn't land any more studs. We dropped from 5 to 19 in the rankings just because of the players that Lame and Zer-O caused to decommit, and now we're back up to 10.

I have a feeling three or four years from now, when we're in the middle of a season ranked in the top 10 and fighting for an SEC title, that we're going to remember these days as the turning point for our program. Our new coaches have dusted off their britches, got to work, and are getting us a good class in spite of Lame and Zer-O's best efforts.

The most important thing is that DD seems to be successfully reloading the program with guys who can contribute right away and guys that can be developed.

UT needs more big guys at OL/DL. Those recruits won't necessarily help recruiting rankings. OTOH, the star rating system has historically been the least accurate for these players.
