Could DeSean Bishop be available for Vandy?

For sure need his physical running down the stretch.

It was good the see Cam get some physical runs in yesterday.

Lewis is getting better just like I said he would, but yeah he whiffed a few times in pass pro. Dropped a pass too.

If we can get Bishop back then that allows to continue to bring Seldon back at his own pace. That MAY be crucial 4 weeks from now.
- Keep running Sampson but pass more.
- Give more to Lewis
- Get Bishop warmed up again.
- Seldon finally healthy by 1st round of playoffs on Dec 20th

That’s a good spot to be in!
Do you have a NIL deal on seldon? Why would he play in a playoff game?

He’s clearly well enough to play, he has just been jumped by other players.

Heupel said he just needs to get healthy.
He literally said that 2 weeks ago.

Still has to earn the carries by practicing full go but he’s a valuable weapon when available.

I actually said Bishop was better, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about with the “NIL” deal.

I had forgotten about Bishop. Never know with Vols playing about 5 more games if he will be needed.

Been injured. Finally getting healthy
Gotta say that his injury was really just a shame. Was rooting for the kid. Last thing he needed was an injury and the door getting cracked for Lews and Seldon. Lewis especially. Bishop might get Pipped.

Arion has stayed healthy and has improved tremendously. He’s still young tho, and he gets out of position sometimes. As does Jalen Smith. But both are still playing well. Jalen Smith has stepped up this year.

Definite drop off from Pili blitzing and just being physical consistently. He’s an older guy too.
Telander is the one that gets beat to the outside a lot of times...Game player, but doesn't have the speed to get to the edges...

I like the way Lewis runs. He's a bruiser. We don't have anyone in the mold of Sampson next season. We need to get a dynamic back. Love seeing that Nico started throwing to DSamp out of the backfield. He's a weapon. No One else on this team like him. Want to see more of that going forward. It will help in all phases.

No. Bishop runs better than Lewis and Seldon.
Agree with this but I really like Cam Seldon’s upside as a physical runner. Don’t think we’ve seen the best from him yet. Then again that could be true of Bishop & Lewis too and both have performed well backing up Dylan. We are stacked with very good talent there.

How far have we come as a program where we can discuss who out of 3-4 guys should be getting carries as a back up RB?

I believe this too. It's crazy to me that young running backs can identify a gap to run through that's only open for .2 seconds, but a safety blitz, what's that?
The first is instinct, the second "learned", you have to see the defense and read it. How often, even in the NFL, have you seen QB's move the RB to one side or the other and even point out to them who's coming? Most QB's out of HS can't read defenses, let alone RB's.
