I don't care. Why should a coach or program try and convince a player on scholarship to honor his commitment? I don't consider BB a Vol. Could care less what he accomplishes in the NFL.

He should have done everything possible to keep Bryce on the team. Obviously he didnt do enough and rolled his dice with Poole

Brown had better learn how to hold on to the football if he wants that big $10 mil contract mentioned in the OP.

Would have been cool to see what the kid could have done with last year's O-line, but it didn't happen so we'll never know. No sense wondering about it, IMO.

Bryce Brown was like many of the recruits from that time period. I am a huge eagles fan and he cant handle Shady Mccoys jock imho.

Why not stick your fingers n a meat grinder you'd punish yourself less too.. Maybe u can contact superman to fly around the earth backwards & fix all of that. Hmm, you might as well get some winning lotto numbers too if your gonna turn time back

Bull. Despite that public "I'm not re-recruiting players" statement, he tried VERY hard to keep Bryce. And he wanted to stay, but as mentioned earlier in the thread, Bryce's dad was calling the shots here, demanding his son come home to Kansas over him having a white girlfriend. Told him if he stayed at Tennessee to not bother ever coming home.

You assume that's the play that was called. What happened frequently is the play was called to throw a slant or hitch to get the first down short. Instead, your "gunslinger" QB chucked it downfield to the receiver that was supped to be the decoy to draw safety help away from the short route. Go back and watch a few games, you'll see a lot of short passes open on those plays with angry TEs and WRs wondering why the throw didn't come to them.

Dooley pretty much had his way ONLY or the highway with players and coaches.But DA was smart enough to get 5 mil from us to get rid of one of the worst coaches in UT history.If he ever gets a HC job again i want to see the DA the hires him.Ev en if BB could have helped him which he probably could have but to arrogant to change

You assume that's the play that wasn't called. What happened frequently is that Chaney was an idiot who didn't know how to stick with the run on short-yardage situations, even when the run was working.

Mmmkay?

Dooley's gone, Chaney can't play-call and Brown was a gold digger with no loyalty to anyone but his own bank account.

It's time you got over it.

Seems to me offense was not the problem this year, it was the defense that could not stop a five year old on a tricycle. When you score more than 40 points in a game you would think you would win.

You do realize DP is in the AD so his take on these type of things can hold a little more water than the typical VN ecoaches, right?? I'm sure what he said was what he was hearing the coaching staf b*tch about after the games. Just a thought...

Didn't dd force bb to come ask him directly for a release not request it from home???

I mean, if you want to believe your own inaccurate opinions instead of facts, be my guest.

I wasn't assuming anything about the play calls. I know what was called. In fact, if you go back at watch the assistant coach interviews from the season, Chaney addresses it on a couple of occasions. Dooley even addressed it in a couple of postgame news conferences.

I'm not sure what I need to get over. Facts? I should ignore facts and react like an ill-informed poster? I should attack the character of a then-19 year old kid that I've never even met? Do you read your own posts?
