Heck, in UT history? It is shaping up to be phenomenal, and if we could somehow close with a surprise of Jones or Austin, or both... :eek:hmy: We may be able to say, "Who needs Rodney Garner?"

He's had some good ones. Ranking-wise, probably his best, one of the top 3 in school history. We'll have to see if it pans out though.

UT's had the no.1 rated class before, but this class is one of the best, definitely.

I dont know much about recruiting, if you guys think it's a good class hey that's great news.

I can't remember being this pumped over a recruiting class in a long time. I guess I was spoiled by our year after year successes, and it took the 5-6 debacle to make me appreciate it. Come on Fulmer & Co., hang on to what you got, snag 1 or 2 unexpectedly, and finish STRONG!

Regardless of what the rankings say, this class has filled it's needs and beyond, the class has size, speed, and smarts. It's one thing to have a class full of great players, and another thing to have a class of great players that are that are exactly what you need position wise. UT has done extremely well at both, and may not be finished yet, certainly one of the best classes in UT history.

A lot of times you have teams that just become great after one recruiting class. Like someone said earlier 94 was one of those years. 4 years later... natl. championship. USC was the same way. After you get that one aswesome class there are usually 2 or 3 soon after that are equally as good. That's called building a dynasty. If everything goes well signing day and these guys pannout, it could propel us up to a power house again, especially if we have a good season this year.

Well I think Fulmer understands this and always has. His assistants are recruiting great right now, so that should help.

I'm pretty confident about signing day. A lot of these guys think about PT but a lot of em actually like being in a good class because they have a better shot at winning.

Why would 2004 be rated higher than 2007? We had 2 5*s, 8 4*s, 8 3*s, and 6 2*s and finished with a star average of 3.25 and 1,748 points. We finished 11th in the nation. So far this year, we have 5 5*s, 10 4*s, and 15 3*s with a star average of 3.67 and 2,667 points. We are currently in 2nd. Is this only based on field production because no way it is a better class on paper? The other 3 didn't go by the same rating system.

I don't think he included 2007 cause it ain't done yet. Hopefully we'll hold on to what we have and get a couple of more...
