If we beat Ark St. Pretty handily?

Obviously we would have to deal with Oklahoma right afterwards even if we did. Just wondering what you guys think.

Not even close...

A blowout of ASU and a win against OU will put us in the top 15...

Still a long way to go for all that.

Honestly I would be too surprised if we just break the top 25 just so it could be a "rank vs rank" matchup. Though I don't think we should be ranked unless we upset OU.

NO! NO! & NO AGAIN! We beat Oklahoma in Norman & we see top 25 votes & probably get into the top 25. Beating Arkansas State won't get us any either even if we blow them out too.

Possible, but not likely. We barely cracked the top 25 in 2012 after defeating NC State and romping Georgia State, so I won't say it's not possible. If we beat Oklahoma (stretch, I know) we will be in the top 15-20 with certainty.

Eyes on the prize gentlemen. This season is not about being top 25. It's about winning the ball games to have a winning season and go to a bowl game.

No way we get Top 25 votes this season unless we upset some people. After next weekend it's gonna be a while before we're favored in any games. Unfortunately, we can't put too much stock in the first 2 games of this season. We have to make a bowl game. Period. These are the games we expect to win so we can't take them lightly. The road only gets tougher after next week

Happened Dooley's last year. We barely cracked the top 25 after a win against a decent opponent in NC State and some cupcake I can't remember. Likely just so it could be ranked v ranked for College Gameday.

That being said, I don't think we should be ranked unless we upset the Sooners.

Since the question was just could we get some votes, I'm going to say yes, there is a decent chance we get a few votes if we whip arky st. handily.

Beating chump teams will earn us no respect.
When we start beating good SEC teams, then things will start to fall into place.
We have been through this a few times in the last few years.
We beat a chump team or two and get excited. Then the good teams kick our asses.
I'm not going to get the least bit excited until we start beating some quality teams.

Yes. We will be in top 25 prior to Oklahoma game. The voters love to do that to generate a matchup of ranked teams on TV. Unfortunately it won't last if we get beat by okie, but if we play like we did Saturday, we will beat Oklahoma.
