Country music thread

Never really been a big Randy Rodgers Band fan, but with my taste growing recently, I figured I’d give them another shot by listening to every album they’ve put out. Starting with “like it used to be.”

If I had to give it a rating, 7.5/10
pretty good. “Company you keep” and “lost and found” were my favorites.

Roller coaster. Didn’t like it near as good as the first. 6/10. “10 miles deep” was my favorite.

I feel like Rollercoaster is about as good as gets to define Hill Country, but I don’t think you like Hill Country/Red Dirt as much as TP, west TN, and myself do.

No idea if I’ve shared this before or not, but Logan Ryan Band might be one of my favorite artists currently. A shame he only has a few singles on Spotify

Definitely up there. Lost and Found, Interstate, Speak of the Devil, Steal You Away, If I Had Another Heart, Hill Country. All faves of mine. RRB will always be my favorite. I probably listen to TT more, but as I’ve mentioned RRB brought me full bore into Hill Country/Red Dirt and th at holds weight that I can’t explain

Just finished “just a matter of time” obviously has one of the more popular RRB songs on it. Pretty fun album.

It’s actually not called “toed the line” btw lol. I meant to say it toed the line of being too modern, yet being traditional. Has steel, fiddle, and all of that. But the lyrics are kinda cliche. It’s called “Rolling Stoned” lol
