Country music thread

Well floor tickets in Knoxville are secured…

I went three years fearing I’d never get TT again. Money well spent. And I’ve never had a song written about me. Now I understand why all the girls swoon when they think a song is about them…

Ok Bill, you win. Brought Me is going to end up with their top tier sing alongs
“At an old bar room in Tulsa, I looked up and you were there…” just absolutely breaks me. What a great line

“Your status suits you well, but do not think that you can fool me. This polish and reserve barely hides that you are wild… in moments I found quality I thought could not be beaten, a thousand person choir has an affection all its own.”

That whole stanza man… what an outpouring of affection for us… the fans.

I mean I’ve discussed how wild it is that Evan can make a song about an awkward grocery store encounter. But these little nuggets to describe the fans that stuck around and their appreciation of it is just so intense and real. Throw in an incredibly well put together big sing along chorus and I don’t know what else I could ask for

Glad Bottoms Up got the full band treatment, I've always loved that tune. That, Brought, and the title track are my winners right now; we'll see how it stands after a few good spins.

I enjoyed those three, Three More Days, Lucille and I like the Black Sky cover.

Interesting how much more upbeat ACITR is compared to the original solo acoustic versions we heard last year

Zach just continues to pump out boatloads of awesome songs. I really appreciate his drive and creativity. Some great tunes on the new album.

Me too fellas, me too.

This is such a powerful lyric. Each spin I find more and more of these lyrics. I’ve seen a lot of criticisms of the Shooter based production, but imo this album is undeniably 100% Turnpike. Crisp instrumentals, unbelievable lyrics, and top notch blending of the two. Turnpike Forever and I’m so grateful to get a new album.

Morgan Wade might have a little more pop in her sounds, but those lyrics man. A sucker punch right in the face, followed by jab after jab. Yesterday was a musical Christmas for me, and I needed it yesterday to pass the time
