Country music thread

Justin Moore isn't an outlaw. He's been a singer almost his whole life, never been in trouble, a momma's boy and a family guy. He's a stand up guy.

At least Luke Bryan admits he's not an outlaw. And fwiw, at least Luke Bryan doesn't sing through his nose to sound more twangy.

So, in summary, Justin Moore is just another bro country bum that makes me give credit to Luke Bryan. Yikes.

To put it another way: Jamey Johnson may not have traded his sweet wife, his best friend, for cocaine and a wh***, but you can believe he would do that a lot more than Justin Moore would.

Alan Jackson will go down as one of the greatest country artists of all time. And he idolized the outlaws. He never pretended to be one though. Moore should do the same. And quit singing through his nose. And develop real lyrics. But instead, he can't even bait a hook, he can just write the hook. The key to a good country song is what's written around the hook.

I'd forgotten all about 'Bait a hook'. That's about the time I would start listening to NPR in the car to keep my sanity as opposed to country radio.

The song isn't about being an "outlaw." So to speak, the way he described it at a show was his way of telling a story of growing up drinking, fighting, and all of that, not necessarily being an "outlaw." But a "wild child." I guess. Wild child's like me, just doesn't have a good ring to it. Lol

Uh huh. He still can't bait the hooks to his song. That's probably why his girl left him for someone who doesn't fish

I'm getting tickets to see Jamey Johnson for my birthday, 3 months later, Travis Tritt plays the same venue. Is it worth it to go see both? Anybody seen Travis before?

Saw him at a rodeo in Greeley, Colorado years ago. Honestly don't remember much of the show, likely wasn't too exciting.

Have a chance to see Adam Carroll next month, naturally I have a family event that evening. Oddly enough, it's for the same cousin who caused me to miss Adam the last time he was up here 5 or 6 years ago.

Been on a 90s kick lately. Remember Toby Keith's early stuff? Was he the first to go to crap after making it big? Or was it Kenny? Should've been a Cowboy is fantastic.

Also, he gets all the credit in the world, but despite not being much of an actual writer, I could listen to George Strait for days. So consistently good.
