Cowboys vs Redskins Sunday Night Football

Everybody who isn't a Redskins fan lost last night. How crappy that we were denied the chance to see Romo be heroic, or utterly fail again. Instead we got to see Washington run out the clock. Such a joke of a call. That ref's name is Javert.

Butthurt?

Are you guys kidding? Yeah I'm butthurt. The game ended on a technicality, rather than an exciting conclusion. Everybody who doesn't root for Washington is mad. I didn't say the the refs blew it. I said they ruined it from a spectator's perspective.

What technicality are you talking about? Romo threw an interception and Morris clearly crossed the goal line before the fumble. What could Romo have done other than not throw a prayer toss to Murray that a chimpanzee could have intercepted.

He's talking about the hands to the face penalty.

Yeah....the penalty that prevented Dallas from getting the ball back with nearly 2 minutes, and probably a 6-point deficit.

Well, what about on dallas's first touchdown with an expired play clock?... Do you think that play was ok? You cant hit a qb in the head, its in the rules, you act like this was the first time it was called this year.. typical dallas fan, crying like their owner and Qb.

I'm a casual Cowboys fan. You wouldn't be mad if the roles were reversed?

I don't care if the call is made in the 2nd quarter of a game between Buffalo and Miami in week 3, but for a ticky-tack penalty like this to be the final determination for a game that determines the playoffs, I'd hope they'd swallow the whistle.

You can't even compare this to the play clock TD. First of all the play clock was a missed call, not the horribly timed application of a bad rule. Second, it happened early enough that the Redskins could recover. Third, the Redskins failed to play good D on that play, so maybe there shouldn't be an excuse. The Cowboys did play good D, they just got screwed by a bad rule.

Well if you happen to watch the replay of the first score, look and tell me how many holds there were by dallas,.. and if it wasnt for that TD, the game isnt even close, and rules are rules, it dont matter at what point of time during the game that they are called...if that was washington that did that, you'd be saying the samething, and dont even lie, and say you wouldnt..

That call gets called every time when a qb is shoved in the face. No one is arguing that call.

Except for the commentators last night and everybody other than you and Redskins fans. Collinsworth was saying the only reason there was helmet contact was because he was chop-blocked while air-born. Did you watch the game?

I don't think you get my argument. I'm talking strictly from the fan's perspective that we were all robbed of an exciting final 2 minutes of football. I'm not really talking about justice, but that being said, 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Rules are rules, I agree, but bad rules need to be done away with.

The redskins are relevant 1/10 years. Let them enjoy it.

yes and the announcers admitted you just can't get hands to the face of the qb. it may be a dumb rule, but the rule is the rule. Nice job of picking and choosing what you want to take from the commentary. Telling that Ryan and Garrett didn't even argue it. But continue to cry.

No different from Tennessee fans that complained about the hit to the helmet Chris Leak got in 2007 that overturned an int for td.
