cowgirls vs. giants.

:eek:lol:you know what, and this is going to sound funny considering it's about TO, but the fact that he was so emotional after the game defending Romo, it actually does come off as someone that truly cares about the team.

call me crazy, but i can tell you i wouldn't be crying on national TV defending a teammate, if i didn't care just a little bit.

so while it's funny as hell, there's a part of me that actually thinks TO has found his "team" and was truly upset about losing.......weird.

I agree, it seemed different than any TO I am used to seeing.

T.O. can do no right. The media blasts him for trying to come back from injury to play in the Super Bowl. They blast him when he criticizes his QB or supports his QB. He deserves it plenty of the time, but it seems pretty obvious there's a bias against him.

How about ever?

This might be just me (and ESPN and all of the northeastern United States) but a Superbowl win for the Pats this year will cement Brady's spot as the greatest NFL quarterback of all time.

*cough* joe montana *cough*

brady's 3 plays away (or a mediocre kicker) from not having a single super bowl ring.

I'm not bashing the guy.

I really think he's bi-polar.

Brady will end his career with as many or more SB rings, better stats with less talent around him.

joe would have had at least 1 (if not 2) more rings if he didn't have those back issues. and the competition was much better in joe's years. how many great teams has brady's pats beaten? it also could easily be argued that the pat's d won those super bowls. not to say brady isn't a great qb. he is. but the jury is still out as to whether he is better than joe.

Pretty much how I felt. It was the last thing I expected from TO... I've sort of been expecting him to unravel at a random point this season. I was kind of relieved at his reaction. Now if Romo can not choke, then Dallas really does have a legit team.

He still won and that's what matters.

My respect for Owens skyrocketed yesterday.
i felt the same way after the Eagles made the super bowl and TO played out of his mind. a month later i was sorely disappointed in his antics toward DM and the circus that soone followed. since then, i give him props for being a great player, but the "respect" has to be earned over time. respect the abilitiy, yes. respect the "player", we'll see.

this year, brady has had more talent around him than maybe any one in sb history, when you consider the collective unit of this offense. And considering the records they've broken, the record their team has, it's going to be hard not to argue that this is not only the best team ever, but also the most talented. I mean let's face it, no one esle has ever been "unstoppable", as these guys have thus far.

having said that, looking at the previous SB wins, i wouldn't trade Jerry Rice and John Taylor for Troy Brown and the other guy they had during the first part of their run. Nor would i trade Roger Craig for Corey Dillon.

it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out....JG may leave for a HC job, who knows what happens in free agency......if the cowboys come out next year and have to really fight to get to the post season, and they lose a few games next year, then we'll see what he's made of........the track record says "it" is going to happen at some point.

yep. when history looks back on him, it will do so in a most positive fashion.

I said it in an earlier thread that Brady should have gotten more accolades for what he did earlier in his career when he had David Patten, David Givens, Deon Branch and Troy Brown as his WRs and Kevin Faulk as his RB than what he's done this season.

This year, it's an embarrassment of riches. Two first round draft picks in Stallworth and Moss, a lot more talented OL, and Maroney at TB. It's amazing how good the offense is.

But Brady is still the triggerman and he deserves his props.

I just think what he did in 2001-2006 is a lot harder to do than what he did this year.

infinitely, comparitively speaking.

It is amazing how in the days of the salary cap that they reload every year. Closet thing to a dynasty there has been in a while.

two things, the fact they're doing this "dynasty" type run in the salary cap era is a feat in and of itself.

second, i wouldn't even call it reloading. the reality is, they have upgraded each and every time they make a s/b run.

the organization as a whole is on top of it's game. they manage the money, get the players, and one of the main reasons is, they're shrewd enough to know when to let a player go, a la, Willie McGinnest, Ty Law, Patten, etc....

and i hate them for it.:p
