CPF Wants The Crowd Loud..

Many times at the games I have stood up and asked the folks around me to make some noise. My seats are in the lower level of the north end zone and it is just not a wild crowd. I would say the noise is generated by about 60% of the 107K. The other 40% just sit there. When our D is on the field GET UP, SCREAM, STOMP THE SEAT IN FRONT OF YOU, DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE BIG ORANGE!! Let's get wild and LOUD on THE HILL this year!
GO BIG ORANGE!!

Some Gator students down here bragged to some new students that the Swamp is as loud as Neyland despite having fewer seats. :realmad:

Mostly what i have saw is goody goodys who go just to show off their short skirts. If you aint there to cheer on the greatest football team on earth, then stay home. I hate ppl who go there just to go and sit there with their hands under thier butts trying to be "cool". Get a life. Raise some hell guys

Yes I agree.

Some cats at the game just don't know what to do when. When Tennessee played Georgia I can't recall what year but it's when they beat us 41-14 and I had to leave the game cause I was about to strangle someone. I sat in the student section and we'd have the ball and people would be hoopin and hollering raising hell, that pissed me off, and when we were on D, they'd be sneaking there flask of Jack Daniels (which there is not a thing wrong with) into there stadium bought coke. I'm a wildman at games, even though I really, really, really don't enjoy soccer and will bash it any time possible, but there fans raise fuss all game. So why can't 107,000 people come together and raise fuss what half of the game when our boys are on D. But lets be honest some cats attend Tennessee football games as a status symbol, and are too cool, or too old to get hype. I understand too old, but to cool should never be an option. I get tears in my eyes and want to hit people when I hear the band play Rocky Top at Neyland, does eveyone? No. But going to Neyland isn't a right, it's a privlage, so come on raise some hell, Please????

Thats exactly why they went to UF, theyre retarded.

First, remarkable comment from someone who failed to employ the apostrophe where called for twice in one sentence.

Second, I did not know you had measured the nosie levels there, smokey. What were the measurements? I mean exactly, since you appear to know with certitude that Neyland is louder. Probably a state secret of some sort, right? So you can't tell me?

I thought so.

Oh, and last, here's a quote for you regarding Florida Field:

"You canÂ’t expect to do things you normally do. Most of the time, you canÂ’t even hear the guy next to you. ItÂ’s an incredible advantage." - former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.

I went to the UT/UF game in Gainesville last year and it was almost deafening....well kinda. You know how when you hear someone yelling, usually a girl making a high-pitched squeal, it goes into another level or something weird....well it was like that constantly. And while I've heard that before plenty of times in the past at Neyland, it's been quite sometime. I wouldn't say the Swamp is always louder than Neyland, but this particular game was louder than our home games have been.

I for one will be at the Cal, UF, USC, LSU, and Kentucky games jumping and screaming my ass off as usual...until the blue-hair next to me keels over that is!!!

IMO, when the head football coach at UT has to ask the crowd to get into the game, things are getting bad on the hill. If and when UT shows up ready to play, the crowd will do its part.

the loudest games i've been to at Neyland:
1. 96 Florida--at least for a while.
2. 95 Georgia--should be no. 1 with how that game ended.
3. 96 Alabama
4. 00 Florida, especially on the last play.
5. 01 LSU

at first glance, that was my first thought too...but then he followed it up directly with, "but we need to give them something to cheer about". From that standpoint, i agree with him. If the fans are in to it and rowdy and truly an advantage, and Rocky Top is playing a lot, then the team would have probably done their part...

I think he understands that he's going to HAVE to give us something to cheer about...and man i hope they do come Saturday.

Most of the noise has always come from the student section anyhow, second the the drunk younger alums/good ole boys, and last the 50 yard season ticket holders who are giving golf claps to join in on the ruckus.

I rolled my ankle on in Savannah over the weekend but I'm still planning to hobble my way up there and make as much noise as I can. At least until the old folks start cussin' me.
