Crazy perspective on our schedule

While it’s a hell of an accomplishment to get 11 wins with that schedule; I hate that Tennessee is always at a disadvantage because of it.
Look at the defending national champion’s schedule next year…
Sept. 2 vs. UT Martin
Sept. 9 vs. Ball State
Sept. 16 vs. South Carolina
Sept. 23 vs. UAB
Sept. 30 at Auburn
Oct. 7 vs. Kentucky
Oct. 14 at Vanderbilt
Oct. 21 Idle
Oct. 28 vs. Florida (Jacksonville)
Nov. 4 vs. Missouri
Nov. 11 vs. Ole Miss
Nov. 18 at Tennessee
Nov. 25 at Georgia Tech

Georgia’s Road games
@Auburn
@Vanderbilt
@tennessee
@Ga Tech

Georgia’s only true test all season is @Tennessee…

Ummhmm.. I’m hoping the powers that be, the expansion, or both rectify this some, it’s a pretty outdated and unnecessarily difficult schedule we have… this year proved SOS does us no favors

just wait until OK and TX come into the SEC and there are no more divisions. We can drop all of the old rivalries and call it progress.
Don't have to but some will complain because UK would have an easier 3 rivalry games than us even though it would be a 9 game schedule

I'd hate to lose our 3rd Saturday against Bama because it's such a huge tradition and rivalry..BUT..Sihnce our SEC is expanding again I can live with a totally new rotational way of the games being scheduled but ONLY if it's going to be fair to ALL our SEC Teams and does NOT play favorites to Bama, UGa or anyone else!

If it's done like that I'd think we'd make the 12 Team playoffs 7 or 8 times per decade at least.

I think we all could live with that...maybe, LOL!

VFL...GBO!!!

They were scheduled to play OU in Norman until the SEC made them cancel with them coming into the league. That was decided at the beginning of the 2022 season, with that timing it’s too late to go find an another P5 team to take their place. GT sucks these days but they’re still a P5 team on the road. So OU and GT on the road in the same season is as good as you could expect f from any P5 team.

Going to come a time that Ga and bumma echo our complaints. I can see puppies now complaining they have to play Tennessee every year.

That used to happen in yester years. The younger fans don't remember but it can and has a good chance of happening. I really believe if we can get a break or bit of luck, however you frame it. If Simpson & Millroe both end up being mediocre turnover prone QBs and UGA Beck and Vandergriff the same. Then I like our chances to take that next step. It will be interesting. I'm on the bandwagon if you have a smart non turnover QB that can make all the throws and a bit mobile is the biggest cog.

That is interesting. I didn't know Pitt had slipped back into the top 25.

Note that Bama who many seem to be drooling over as they whine about being left out of the CFP... Lost @#6, won bowl#14, lost @#16, and won at #20. The whole notion that they were somehow "cheated" is ridiculous.

The whole notion that they are ranked ahead of us to end the year is equally ridiculous. I challenge anyone to make the case orherwise

And while I'm old school and cherish the 3rd saturday tradition, I don't think it needs to remain a permanent game any longer. With OU and ut joining the league, I think we need a method of rotating teams on and off the schedule with Bama being one of them.

Hey! We don't refer to Texas as ut! Even if you did lower case them! Lol

Gbo!

Yet Bama is still playing Texas.

Nobody in College football has to play Alabama and Georgia every season except us. The pathway to the playoffs is exponentially harder than any team in FBS specifically-say...TCU. Tack on Florida who has only just recently sucked. Georgia plays Bama every 15 years. Please don't mistake this for whining, it's real. Not like Bama still blaming the refs...now THAT is whining.

Edit: Auburn.. Sorry Barners, I forgot - you have to play them as well. Feel your pain brother!

ga's 2023 is rec league quality, their strength of schedule shouldn't be in the top 75 next year. What a joke
