We hired Trooper. Give Luke and Roper more than one year(I think Luke is the recruiting coordinator, might be Roper). Give Adkins more than one year with the OL.

Well, it was his first year. The RBs didn't perform well(especially the FBs) but the OL had alot to do with that. I, personally, think that the FBs are just damaged goods and that Cooper will be a fresh breath. Is Luke or Roper the recruiting coordinator? That could be the most impressive thing so far about one of them.

I don't think Fulmer will have to tank Saban.

He can coach but he won't have the same supporting cast... and the Auburn folks will be all too ready to remind every player in the state that Saban is in it for Saban. He's likely to jump to the highest bidder- sooner if he doesn't see things going his way or later if they do... but 4 years +/- depending on when the payscale catches up with him.

If I were a recruit, I wouldn't trust a guy that gave assurances to LSU just before Miami bought him and then gave assurances to Miami just before Bama bought him.

He might be effective... but he could just as easily flop and escape town just before the roof caves in.

Roper needs to improve alot. Granted he followed Trooper and there are some disadvantages to that... but his group as a whole didn't get it done. The FB's yes and the line wasn't always the problem. Sometimes all three of the RB's just flat out misread the hole.

If you ask me, the biggest problem is the 3 running backs are all different styles, but they were running the same way, particularly Foster. Instead of running people over like he did last year, he was trying to make moves and reads like Coker, and he has great vision, but he flat out does not have the speed.

look what Trooper did in one year with the wr's and in his stint with the rb's, shouldnt we expect the same out of Roper?

No. How many Troopers have came through UT? Ummm, one. Rodney Garner is the only other one like CTT. Not everyone can turn it around that quick. Also note that Trooper had the help of Cutcliffe this year.

first thing is that Garner was a recruiter only, he couldnt coach, he was a coach in title only. I dont expect Roper to recruit like TT, but I expect results from his coaching and I think Roper being Cut's boy, he had his help
