TBI: Body of Pauline Pusser Exhumed from Adamsville Cemetery​


ADAMSVILLE, Tenn. — Several Tipsters alerted us that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was on scene at Adamsville Cemetery Thursday morning.

We received several reports that this is in relation to an investigation into the death of Pauline Pusser – wife of late McNairy County Sheriff Bufford Pusser.

We reached out to the TBI, who shared the following:

Today, TBI special agents were at the Adamsville Cemetery to oversee the exhumation of the body of Pauline Pusser. Pauline was fatally shot on August 12, 1967, in McNairy County, and the Tennessee Bureau of Criminal Identification was called in to investigate. As we have evolved to become the independent agency that we are today, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, this case has remained an active investigation. As with any unresolved case, agents have continued to reexamine files and follow any and all leads.

A recent tip prompted a new review of the case file and the discovery was made that an autopsy was never performed on Mrs. Pusser’s body. With the support of Pauline’s family and in consultation with 25th Judicial District Attorney General Mark Davidson, TBI requested the exhumation in an attempt to answer critical questions and provide crucial information that may assist in identifying the person or persons responsible for Pauline Pusser’s death.

A former engineer was arrested on federal charges alleging he stole trade secret technology that was developed by the U.S. government to detect nuclear missile launches and to track ballistic and hypersonic missiles, the Justice Department announced Wednesday.

Chenguang Gong, 57, of San Jose, California, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with theft of trade secrets, the Justice Department said in a news release. Gong is a native of China and became a U.S. citizen in 2011, the Justice Department said.

A street gang terrorizing a sleepy Arizona town, dubbed the 'Gilbert Goons,' have been sued by a lawyer after a victim injured in a brutal beating identified the attackers.

The 'Gilbert Goons' went on a year-long attacking spree with near impunity, with at least a dozen attacks captured on camera.

Now, a Scottsdale lawyer is going after the 'gangsters' and their parents because the 'rich, entitled white kids' were 'dumb enough' to post videos of assault.

Scottsdale lawyer Richard Lyons filed a lawsuit against 17 individuals, identified as members of the 'Gilbert Goons,' accusing them of assaulting victims and sharing videos of the attacks on social media.

The lawsuit, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, also targets 26 parents of underage Goon members, holding them responsible for their children's actions.

The Goons, described as a gang of 'rich white teenagers aspiring to emulate gangster culture, are accused of inflicting serious injuries on their victims, including skull fractures, facial fractures and concussions.
