my hats off to the guy. he was just doing what coach cut teaches him. yeah you run the ball in that situation, but he saw the defense & knew he could get a first down throwing. hes gonna be good & gutty.

How about him changing the play at the line. I thought the coaches were going to have a coronary.

While it might not have been the best choice, you have to admire his heart and his understanding of the defense at this point. He was going deep baby..

Yeah, Cooter was hoppin' more than the coaches! You know earlier in the game I was watching the sidelines when we're on offense - Cooter and Hardegree are always right there (by Roper I think), but I didn't see Crompton. Why is that?

I think Crompton will be a pretty good guy for us in the future. But tonight was not his night by any means. Everybody looked at him as though they wanted to kick him square in the jewels after that call. I've never seen the whole team get as pissed as they did so quickly at one person.

Bo and Jim are there to help with the signals. Cromp, being the #2 he doesn't get in on that action... plus he's a RS Freshman.

I am going to disagree with you. The guy has thrown four passes all year and you cant take a chance of making a mistake late in the game. You run the ball and eat the clock, simple as that.

I know someone had to tell him before he went in to just RUN THE PLAY, dont change anything. I understand your point, but he has to know at that point in the game with everything being what it is to just RUN THE PLAY THE COACHES CALLED

I read Jim Bob's lips, he said "Coach put me in, I can hand the ball off".

I understand they just wanted to run the clock out, but what did they think he was changing the play to? Throw the ball to the outside linebacker? An out pattern to a cornerback? If you think the kid is capable of making a mistake that would merit the reaction the sideline had, you probably shouldn't have him in the game.

i agree. the kid was trying to make a play. i want guys in the game like that. however, i think the problem was he failed to understand the situation.
