oklavol, you have never been told that by one of his parent. That is lie, my friend. I have spoke with his parents on more than one occassion and he is fully recovered from his injury. Absolutely 100%. You should be ashamed for making such a post. He was cleared 100% before spring practice, he had no problems during spring practice, he has had no problems since spring practice, and no problems are expected from now on regarding this particualr injury.

I never once said I had been told by one of his parents. If you would actually bother to read what is posted before you make a snap judgement. The same thread mentions Cutcliffe stating part of the reason Bo was listed as no. 2 was because of Crompton's limited ability to practice due to not being fully recovered.

I thought it was practical to not think he's fully recovered in 1 year. Its one thing to be cleared by doctors to practice at 100% and another to be at the same level you were at before the injury both mentally and physically. I'm starting to believe thats a big part of the reason Ainge played poorly last year.

Question I have is that you say he might not be "physically" at 100%. I don't doubt that his practice time, especially in the early spring, was limited. But, from what I've heard, his arm seems to be fine. It will, obviously, take time to get the mental portion down.

In reference to the Ainge situation: I think most people would say that his lingering injury was to his confidence and poise. Crompton's injury was not due to a game hit, and I think that's like comparing apples and oranges.

All in all, with good fall practice, JC will likely be your #2 man going into the season.

That's interesting. The last I saw, Crompton's mom was saying that he was fully recovered and ready to go. Also, he didn't seem to have any problems in Spring practice.

You can still 'heal' to 100% but not have the accuracy or precision as before.

Let's all step back, take a deep breath, and say this is all speculation. We're getting ready to call each other names here over some talk. Frankly if Bo is to that point, I think that is good news. With our habits of rolling through QB's, a third string equal to a second string is nothing but good news to me.

How does Hardegree have more experience than Crompton? Correct me of I'm wrong, but Hardegree he's never played in a real game before. Yes he might do great in summer practice or whatever, but that doesn't always translate to the playing field.

Ummm, because Crompton got hurt very early last season. This spring was essentially the first snap he took at at UTK practice. Hardagree has been practicing since he arrived on campus. Is that game experience? No. But, is that experience going through college drills and against a college defense? Yes. Maybe after the summer and fall practice that extra "experience" won't mean anything and Crompton will have passed up Hardagree. I hope so, because he has more potential.

I think the point some people have tried to make is, you may be 100% recovered in the minds of the doctors who performed the surgery, but are you at the same physical level you were at before the surgery? Can he throw the ball as far as he did before the surgery with the same velocity? Or does he need more time to get to that level?

The shoulder may be 100% healed, but that doesn't necessarily mean his arm is at the same strength level it was at before, it may just mean the ligments are healed completely.

There were several posts by people stating it took them really 2 years to get back from a major surgery like this.

No doubt! Can we make a big deal out of nothing or what?
