Sad story bout his fiancée she has the same last name as mine.. Great gesture by him growing his locks out.. Always admired Cromp for dealing with us as a fan base..

I probably haven't tuned into a CFL game (that I can recall) since Conredge Holoway played for the Toronto Argonauts in the early 80s.

I feel bad for the young guys that didn't get to experience early ESPN and become transfixed by billboards, CFL and Australian Rules Football.

I had forgotten all about Australian Rules Football on ESPN. I can still picture in my mind those officials signaling a score. That's something to behold.

Seems like I have watched it before some years ago but I really forgot about the two 50 yard lines. That just looks weird.

Canadian football was seemingly designed by some guy hellbent on being different. The 20 yard end zones with the goalposts on the goal line always get me.

Crompton is a good guy and will always be one of my favorite Vols simply for the fact that he never gave up and never complained, especially will all the negativity he endured. I will always pull for the guy, and I'm sorry about the death of his fiancé.

Good for Crompton. I wish him nothing but sucess. He still holds UT in high regard and does what he can to continue to promote his alma mater.

Jonathan Crompton has emerged as the starting signal caller with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL:

He doing stunt work for Scott Stapp?

I watched a lot of Austrailian Rules football on ESPN in the late 80s. I haven't seen a game since, but I work with a couple of Aussies who are going to watch the AFL Grand Final this Friday night when it airs live at 11:30pm (central) and have invited me over to watch with them.

Getting up for my daughter's 9 am soccer game might not be very fun.

I remember being up in the middle of the night with crying babies and watching Australian rules football. At one point I got so desperate to figure out the scoring that I had to work it out in long-forgotten algebra.

Ahh, the days before Google and Wiki...

I remember that the referee guy would stand under the goal posts and make a pistol type sign with his right hand to indicate how many points a kick was worth....
