thread doesn't make any sense. Any vol fan that does not support coach martin is not a fan of the team or school. Fans hoping for a different hire are entitled to that opinion. Coach martin is doing all of the right things that need to be done. Talking to the recruits, attempting to get bodies to replace a diminished roster, working with harris and hopson, handling himself well with the returning kids, etc.
He has a big job in front of him, just like any mid-major coach making the jump to a big time conference would. I hope for the best but there could be a few growing pains that coach martin has no control over. But to bring up a 'crow' party is really not relevant to the matters at hand.

That doesn't make sense. You guys best forget about Harris. He going pro. If Martin can talk him out of signing a multimillion dollar contract with the pros, than you will have to wonder if he has the best interest of his kids at heart.
With all Coach Martin and his stellar new staff are doing...it looks like a crow dinner will be in order for a lot of posters and fans!Perhaps a fund raising event hosted by all the ney sayers would draw a crowd and allow those folks to publicly purchase some forgiveness! The sale of "indulgences" sure raised a lot money for at least one organization.

With a possible lockout looming and his chance to return and be a potential lottery pick next year, I'm not sure trying to get him to return would be against his best interest.
It's really not worth discussing anything with him. His undying love for Pearl keeps him from bringing anything remotely rational to the board.
his post had nothing to do with Pearl.
If the kid is a top 15 pick and Martin persuades him to stay at UT, I'd agree in questioning whether CMM has the kid's best interest in mind.
I haven't seen Harris projected top 15, however, he has moved up to #19 on 2011 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

I don't get how that one more year here would instantly turn him into a lottery pick anyway. He could get hurt, go cold, the draft class could turn out better, anything, but a lot of people think a year under Martin will make him all-pro.
