And we are inundated by superficial nonsense all the time.

I went to an acting conservatory in LA that had ppl from all over the world at it and my European, Latin American African friends were infinitely better people than my American friends. And they were all like "what is wrong with you Americans? Why do you care about all these things that don't matter?"

They were all thoughtful, philosophical, accepting, kind and intelligent.

Then the Americans just tried to act cool wearing stupid freaking beanies in 100 degree weather and say stuff like "oh I wanna be a dramatic actor"
