I grew up in Connecticut. My brother was a D1 prospect. Camped at UT but Majors never offered. He had offers from Syracuse, Michigan, Maryland, Wake Forrest, BC, etc.. He went to Boston College and was a 3 year starter including beating ND in South Bend when they were No. 1. He was on cover of SI the following week tackling Jerome Bettis.

(I know, cool story bro blah blah)
where did he go to high school I went to hs in CT

Looks like he’s been getting a number of big time offers lately and he’s (strangely) high on Michigan.

The relationships M’ba formed at Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances when he first came stateside under then-coach Biff Poggi are among the biggest. Poggi is now on Michigan's staff...“Coach Poggi is like a real mentor for me,” M’ba said. “I really love him, and he did so much for me. He is a reason why I'm in America right now because he gave me the chance to play in this high school. So that means a lot for me. It's not all about the offer. I love Michigan, but man, I love him too.”

Jeffrey M'ba, 2022 Defensive tackle - Rivals.com

“I talked with some coaches — it was the tight end coach (Alex Golesh) — and I talked to him for a long time,” said M’ba, who’s originally from Congo. “But then the coaching staff hit me up a couple weeks before, and they told me that they’re going to come to my practice (this) week. They were supposed to offer me, like, when they came here (Thursday). ...

“I talked to the D-coordinator, and they told me they’re offering me now. They wanted to offer me, like, (this week), but they offered me now because they really want me. I was fired up.”

“I’m big. I’m pretty big and tall, but I move fast, too, so they really like it because they can play me everywhere on the line — D-end, tackle, everywhere. I feel like that’s why I get all these offers.”

“I was happy,” he said of his offer from Tennessee. “I was very happy. I was fired up. Every offer matters for me. It could be a small school or big school. But it’s a bigger school. I was very, very happy about it. … I’ve got a friend who plays there, so I really watch a lot of games, to be honest.

St. Frances Academy in Baltimore was one of the schools where M’ba tried to enroll during his high school career. That’s where he met Tennessee freshman linebacker Aaron Willis, who has stayed in contact with M’ba over the past couple years.

“When I talk to coach Garner and coach [Josh] Heupel on the phone, they say they want me at defensive end because I’m fast for my weight. But they say they want to play me all over the line, kind of as a hybrid at end, tackle and nose. They want someone to get off the ball fast and go ball and they say that’s exactly who I am.”

“I think I’ll take my decision into December and make it before I go back home for Christmas,” the Volunteer target said. “I want to go home to France and know where I’ll be coming back to. I’ll be coming back to a new school in January after graduating in December.”

“I know Tennessee is a good school because coach Garner is a good coach. They like big guys like me and I want a coach who has already coached guys like me,” the prospect said. “When you’re 6-foot-6, it’s harder because you’ve got to learn to play low. It takes more to be successful.”

“I’m in communication with those guys just about every day now,” M’Ba concluded. “We talk on the phone and keep up with one another. I really like the way they are and can tell they really want me in the program.”

"My situation here is very different than when I was in high school," M'ba said recently. "When I was in high school, they offered me because of the player I will be, and not because of the player I was. Now I am getting offers more for the player I am right now."

M'ba made 38 tackles and had two sacks in nine games this season. He has four years to play three at a four-year school.
