Best part of my fishing trip. I've seen this little place advertising BBQ for several years, but never stopped. We did on the way home, and it's delicious. Got a small Brunswick stew also, very good. It'll be a regular now when I go to Dahlonega.View attachment 544928
Ever been the The Cork Screw in Dahlonega? Awesome food. I had the fried duck with cherry sauce.Best part of my fishing trip. I haven't been there, but will try it one day. Do you know the road from Cleveland to Dahlonega? About halfway, at the red light where you'd cut left to go to dawsonville, there's a little restaurant/veggie stand. I don't even remember the name, but it was some very good food.Ever been the The Cork Screw in Dahlonega? Awesome food. I had the fried duck with cherry sauce.
Where was the BBQ joint? Worse part about moving to TN is that Middle TN doesn't really understand what brunswick stew is. The version that the only BBQ joint around here makes is basically pork veggie soup. I wanted to slap the s*** out of them for calling it Brunswick Stew. If it has green beans it's a soup. And there's was watery like a broth. What I know for proper brunswick stew is the North GA/Carolina version that has corn and super small diced potatoes. One of my bosses used to cook down that Hash. 3-4 day pork in a crock pot. Spicey. Absolutely fabulous. Only found in certain Carolina areas.
