lookin over some recommendations for lettuce in the air fryer
like a variation of wilted lettuce with EVOO instead of bacon grease
cut about 2 gallons of fresh Mesclun mix from the containers yesterday and tryin to figure dis out

I appreciate that but I could buy the spensive medicine if I wanted to, I refuse to capitulate to the big pharma dynasty unless I have no other choice. However if you and the hubby want to go out for ribs one night I’m buying.
Have you ever been to that Chicken stand that TFG recommended ( in a seedy part of Memphis ) ?

Love my air fryer, but what’s wrong with a skillet and lid? I think wilting involves a bit of steam, and air fryers are more on the dry roast end of things. IMO JMO FWIW YMMV BBQ

^^^ all that said, you might want to look at recipes for grilled Romaine. It’s sort of in that vein, but of course, you’re slicing a head (bunch?) of Romaine in half lengthwise, pouring in the EVOO, and grilling.

We used to make it a lot, and then kind of burned out.

I agree.

I looked at ideas a while and thought about the air fryer but ended up using the EVOO (as alternative to bacon grease) and did it traditional stove top. I used the oil 2 : 1 to apple cider vinegar and added a little sugar, a couple of pinches of Kosher salt, and Lawry's seasoned pepper. That seasoned pepper is pricey, but we eat a lot of it. I get a large bottle from Amazon now (which I was really surprised I could fill the smaller shaker like 4x with one of the larger bottles).

I do like spinach with the olive oil in the air fryer.

I will tell you the truth: we had to buy that new stove right after I got out of the hospital. It is a flat-top cooking surface, and I am paranoid about scratching the surface (which I did the first time I used it). We basically use the convection oven for about 90 percent of everything. I was looking for an alternative to possibly scratching the surface hahahaha

I saw those recipes while I was in the process of trying to figure out something.
