Have you ever been to that Chicken stand that TFG recommended ( in a seedy part of Memphis ) ?I appreciate that but I could buy the spensive medicine if I wanted to, I refuse to capitulate to the big pharma dynasty unless I have no other choice. I saw those recipes while I was in the process of trying to figure out something.^^^ all that said, you might want to look at recipes for grilled Romaine. It’s sort of in that vein, but of course, you’re slicing a head (bunch?) of Romaine in half lengthwise, pouring in the EVOO, and grilling.
We used to make it a lot, and then kind of burned out.
