He has two giant tilled up sections behind his shop on their property that he rotates crops through so that the soil re nourishes itself. He grows maters, bell peppers, Hungarian wax peppers this year, melons, cantaloupes, half runners, okra, broccoli, squash, zucchini, and greens. Used to grow corn, cucumbers, carrots, peas, and more, but he keeps cutting back as he gets older.

It was circa ‘19 going up there. Mom has her stenosis surgery in two weeks and I’m only on day six of my positive COVID test, so I wore a mask and talked to them for thirty minutes through their porch windows. But glad I got to see them.
