Awhile ago, Habitat for Humanity made an urgent call to my wife asking her to go to a site that morning to help their assigned project lead who was going to be alone in supervising a group of college student volunteers in painting and landscaping a disabled veteran’s home. She answered the call and made it to the site just before the students arrived. She taught some the proper way to paint and use ladders. For lunch, HFH ordered pizzas, including one with pineapple, ham, and jalapeños. The students weren’t all vegetarian, and the sausage and pepperoni pizzas were gobbled up, but the pineapple pizza was untouched. So much for the idea that college kids love pineapple pizza.
