My point was more that they barely snuck in. Could have just as easily missed the tournament had a couple bids been stolen and a game or two went differently for another bubble team.

I don't have sour grapes about anything. The play in game being in or not in the tourney wasn't the point I was trying to make. But since you're making it a big deal I'll address it again. This play in garbage isn't part of the tourney. I've always felt that way and it has zero to do with UT. That's just my opinion.

I think those that bet you made a losing bet based on technicality but it doesn't change how I feel about it. It's absurd.

I'm done discussing this, when the season is over this can be rehashed and I'm sure will be. If Tennessee beats Iowa, UMASS and Duke and makes the Sweet 16, it really changes the outlook of the season IMO. If we get beat by 30 in tomorrow's game, it really puts a negative outlook on it as well.

For now the players and even coaches deserve the fan support, and you would think all Tennessee fans would be cheering on their Vols in the NCAA tournament.

The question is: Does CCM still get the bonus (I think it's 50k?) for getting himself in the Tourney?

Maybe that's what Dave Hart did. Takes out the bonus for CCM but attaches a little bit more money to his assistants if they make the dance.

Everyone wins in that scenario.

So out of curiousity, let's say we beat Iowa, thus leaving no argument that Martin made the tourney. Given his finish in the league in his 3 years, and as many or more NCAAT appearances as Haith, Anderson and Grant in that time period...what do you think Hart bumps his salary to?

Anderson is a 2.2m, Grant around 2.0m, iirc Haith 1.6m...I would think Hart gives him about a $500k raise from $1.3m to $1.8m.
