Current RPI Bracketology has TN as first 4 OUT

The first game in the SEC-T will be USC, then Bama. If they beat USC and Alabama, they made it. But if they lose the 1st game, I say UT's in the NIT.

I just have a real hard time believing that out of 68 freaking teams, many of whom haven't sniffed at beating Nova, Pitt, and Vandy twice, would be in before UT.

me too.. like i said, this was the first projection i've shown that has TN out. Going to be a lot of anxiety going around if TN loses to ARK thurs.

I wouldn't be surprised if UT was left out of the dance unless they make a deep run in the SECT.

Do I think we are in the tourney? Yes
Do I think we deserve to be in? No
Will I pick UT to win the entire tourney in my bracket? Absolutely (well, in one of them I will)

Heck, maybe we can win the SECT or at least back to back games.

I clicked it and it had Miami 18-13 rpi 72, USC 18-13 rpi 68, and Michigan 18-12 rpi 57... WTF and UT isn't in???

There is one scenario where I can see tennessee left out of the tourney.

Tenn losing in round 1 of the sec tourney and villanove losing in round 1 of the big east tourney.

I would root for vandy and villanova right now

That looks like a legit website....UNC #1 seed, Florida #2 seed, Memphis #9 seed, ACC getting 7 teams...

Seriously folks...we're in. Don't worry about it.

I think we're a lock to get in if we beat Arkansas. If we beat the Hogs and get left out, then the NCAA Infractions Committee should take that into account, since it would essentially be a partial postseason ban imposed by the Selection Committee.

If we lose to Arkansas, I don't think there will be enough teams with better profiles to keep us out, but it would still be in the Committee's hands. Even if our odds are still 80% at that point, it's still being left to chance. When it gets down to the last 4-5 teams to get in, the Committee does whatever it wants, and the criteria seems to always be different. They always let in a team that makes you scratch your head, and they always allow a team seeded 5th or 6th to play very close to home. It happens every year.

The criteria for the "last four in" is basically however the Committee Chairperson can justify taking those teams when interviewed on TV. If we're near the cut-line, we are leaving it to chance, and I think if it's close, we would normally get in, but not this year.

BEFORE the Kentucky game, we were ranked 32 in the RPI, and a lock ... I don't understand how a loss to Kentucky could hurt us this bad ???

ESPN has us as a 10 seed. I want that seed bad seeing as how we would be underdogs playing a team like Cincy and advancing against a team like BYU.

That would be a sweet draw if true...

I don't pay any attention to their bracketology. It's typically WAY off the normal consensus.

If I were on a committee I wouldn't put us in out of principle for going 3-5 at home in the SEC and losing 8 games at home. Of which 6 were to below average teams. Embarassing.

But if we are in, the blow up Smokey goes up in the front yard
