Lsu and a&m will square up soon. Tx has trap games riddled in with A&m to close the season. We of course have UGA but still can't take any game for granted. This is going to get dicey. I dont see the committee putting in 5 SEC teams...4 feels like a stretch. We need to grind!View attachment 690251
If we lose to UGA it needs to be a memorable battle and we need to rather easily beat the rest for the committee to consider us. Hopefully UF/Arky/ and Vandy can do some damageWithout upsets the standings would look like:
LSU 7-1
UG 7-1
Texas 7-1
A&M 6-2
UT 6-2
MIZZ 6-2
BAMA 6-2
OLE MISS 5-3
VANDY 4-4
ARK 4-4
UF 2-6
A&M could easily beat both LSU and Texas and be undefeated, which would put them both at 6-2. Add in upsets and the rest of this year could be total chaos....only option is to keep winning and see what happens.
Get high enough so a loss to UG only drops us to #9-#12, take the SEC CG week off to heal.
Biggest joke of this season but you are right. There could be about five or six 10-2 teams from the SEC and only 3-4 will get in. The rest get the Mayo and Amarillo bowls. CBS projected us into the Music City bowl.5 teams aren’t gonna make it. Depending on what happens there might not be 4 from the SEC. I hate to say it but if we don’t go 11-1 we probably aren’t getting in.
Has to be #11 or better. G5 champ gets an auto bid. Another silly decision.Without upsets the standings would look like:
LSU 7-1
UG 7-1
Texas 7-1
A&M 6-2

Starting to agree with you. Alot of folks saying a 10-2 SEC team is in but there could be like 6 of them that end up 10-2 or better
Hope you are right about that but Arky has 4 losses too.Yup, things are gonna get really messy
As much as I hate to say it, we need Bama to rally and take down Mizzu this weekend. USCjr or Arky could easily do us a big favor and give them a third loss.
Also gonna need Bama to beat LSU most likely.
Texas and A&M are gonna be the variables. I don't see Ole Miss having the horses-and they still have to play Georgia
In the end, think Texas and Georgia make the championship game at 11-1.
If this plays out-Bama, us, and LSU are all gonna be 10-2
We will make it in that scenario due to the h2h with Bama and the bad LSU loss to a USC team that already has 4 losses.
Or just beat Georgia that would helpWithout upsets the standings would look like:
LSU 7-1
UG 7-1
Texas 7-1
A&M 6-2
UT 6-2

In this scenario without the upsets, A&M finishes with 2 SEC losses that would give them 3 losses overall with the ND loss, so they are out. LSU would have 2 losses overall with the loss to USC. Tennessee would have the head to head over Alabama and Missouri will have lost to Alabama, so Missouri is out. Georgia would make the SECCG based on the head to head over Texas. And Texas would get in over LSU due to the point differential tiebreaker. Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee should be in. It would come down to a decision of LSU or Alabama making the CFP and Alabama would own the head to head so theoretically LSU could go 7-1 in conference and be left out of the CFP. It would still be chaos even if everything finishes chalk.Without upsets the standings would look like:
LSU 7-1
UG 7-1
Texas 7-1
A&M 6-2
UT 6-2
MIZZ 6-2
BAMA 6-2

I hate to say this but Florida could do us a lot of favors. They play UGA, Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss. Low chance this UF team suddenly turns it on to beat UGA and Texas, but Florida beating LSU would be huge for us.And we have to pull for Bama this weekend. Maybe against LSU too.
Florida could help us out by beating LSU.
The winner of the LSU/A&M game has a very real chance of finishing 7-1 in conference. In any tiebreaker scenario, Texas weak conference schedule works against them, i think. Leaving them out of the CCG puts them in the playoffs at 11-1 and someone is going to have to play them in DKR the first round.Yup, things are gonna get really messy

It will all change scenarios this weekend! Too many permutations to consider right now! It will be more upsets and surprises looming! We need to focus hard of KY and MSU to make sure we are in good shape heading to Athens. Every team in this league can have a good day. And some will catch some others not ready. That is likely to happen. And then it starts all over about where is everyone positioned!Without upsets the standings would look like:
