Yesterday my new rod built by Phil arrived. It took several weeks. The man is a detail freak. Paired with a Lew's baitcasting reel I can throw it a mile, often necessary when fall stripers are breaking and you don't want to spook 'em. It's 8', has an MHX blank, microguides and composite fiber grips, not to mention the hand-wound UT graphics. And it it only weighs 5.2 ounces. Thanks Phil, very glad I took the plunge.
