I have been hearing this all year long. I am tired of it. I think he is a great coach but our offense is not stellar. We can't run the ball. We are averaging 14 points or so more per game but what Athletic Director looks at our offense and says oh yeah 50 yards per game running. I want me some of that. Don't get me wrong I think he has done miracles with our team. But some of that credit needs to go to Trooper who is coaching them.

I have several questions about the game plan tonight. The passing game looked like UT practiced the run all week. This is a five wide offense. The best three players on the field are Swain, Meachem and Smith. You absolutely have to spread the ball around from the shotgun if you cannot move in the trenches.

This was the same conservative bullcrap that we have had to put up with during CPF's tenure (without the great athletes of the 90s.) Has Crompton simply not practiced the hurry up offense?

Fulmer said all week that he was going to RUN the ball. He wanted to prove a point. He did prove one. He sucks.

I agree with you 100%. I thought the only times Crompton looked effective were the few snaps he took from the shotgun.

shortgun, 4/5 WR, spread is our strength, and our game plan has to base on this. If we give up our strength, there is no way we can win the game. Yes, we can "run", but we lost, lost badly. We just did not mix up the run and pass

I think Coker would be very impressive running out of spread formations.

I told all of you last week that were babbling about how well Crompton played, that he actually did not play that well. He threw 2 TD passes, one was awesome, the other was a bad decison that turned out well. I am not anti-Crompton, but he just does not have the necessary experience and reps to beat a team like Arky, especially considering the Arky defense never has to worry about our run.

It's hard to argue with that.

So much for Fulmer working with the Oline last week.

The Oline hasn't been very good this year. UT can't run without better blocking.

What bothers me the most is that Arkansas recruited much less talent then UT has to put their team together and their team is young as well.

I am embarrassed for him right now.

why? that would be a great job for him. he woudl seriously struggle recruiting wise w/ Butch Davis at UNC, but it's a big time school w/ good facilities and a good fan base. more power to him if he gets to be a head coach somewhere

"Obviously, I would be very interested if they are interested in me," Cutcliffe said.

Where the hell those people get this quote from? I think he said he wanted to stay. But I wouldn't blame him if he left. We Curcliffe is able to earn 2M dollars a year, but is earning 300,000 instead, that's totally understandable. By the way, I think his son is still a sophomore at UT, That' s probably why he signed a 3 year contract, didn't he?

I thought it was a two-year but I think he can walk away from it with little or no penalty. Not enough money involved to stop someone from poaching him if they really wanted him.

Why are people worried about him leaving? Why would he come back to UT for a year and leave? What would be the point.

ummmm, that his whole desire was to prove he could still coach and get a head coaching position maybe? especially seeing he said from day one he would like to be a head coach again.

I know he has done great things here this year. I mean dynamite things. But we have one small problem. He hasn't been able to fix our running game. We are 10th in the SEC in running. Only KY and MISS ST. are worse. I just don't see that he is the best candidate out there.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree with yoru statement. I've brought it up many many times. but his goal is to be a HC again and i think it would work for him. But no, as i've mentioned in the Cut to Bama info, I don't think he's the best candidate for an HC position.
