CWS Game Thread - Other Games

If the odds at this point hold, has there ever been a #1 seed vs. #2 seed in the CWS Final?

I know lots of people said Wake is a fraud the ACC sucks and blah blah blah.i have notice in their 2 games at CWS this team is sound defensively except for the outfield blunder last night, and their pitching is excellent.

I think the only thing about WF is that their offense and pitching stats are probably inflated due to conference. You don't dominate they way they do without being good. They will finish top 4 no matter what. They are not a fraud even if they don't win CWS. The fraud talk needs to go away.

Wake is obviously really damn good. People, for whatever reason, fail to acknowledge that in baseball a lot of stuff happens and you can't predict it. More so than in most sports. It's amazing how people get surprised at "upsets" at the MLB level when great teams lose 60+ games.

What if Zane doesn't hit his home run against Clemson?
How often is Florida going to come back from 2 runs down in the 9th against Virginia?

Wake won 2, 1 run ball games that they also could have lost.

I saw a stat during the Florida-Oral Roberts broadcast that Oral Roberts had won 7 consecutive games when trailing by 3 runs or more. They nearly made it 8 in a row against Florida. How often does that happen?

Arkansas and Vanderbilt couldn't make it out of their own regional. And weren't close.

Last year should have taught this to everyone on this board. Last year's Tennessee team is legitimately as good as any team ever and they didn't get to Omaha. It would be ludicrous to call that team a fraud. And it would be laughable to call this Wake team a fraud

All of that is why I asked the question I did earlier as well.

For the life of me, I can't remember #1 vs. #2 at the CWS in a championship round (game) in any format, even pre-Super Regional (64 teams)

You get beisbol! Wish our drivebys would pay attention. Thankfully, most are here to learn.

LMAO! Perfect execution.
I love that video and I’m jealous at the same time. If that’s legit, that kids swing, form, hand-eye coordination is so elite for his age. I like to think my 6 yr old is ahead of many his age, this maybe 4 year old is ahead of every 5-6 yr old in our league.

What would be more romantic than the Vols beating the Gators in Game 3 of the CWS finals after coming all the way back from the losers bracket?! Holy smokes
