D4H's 2017 College Football Season Preview

Hey D4H Deshaun Watson is already running and September is a long ways off

Still think he’s RG3? I’m sure you do but not one talking head on ESPN or any other sports platform has said anything close to him being finished like you seem to think matter fact they don’t even mention it basically a non factor

Hell i remember his rookie year he tore his acl and still played on it ended up beating spurrier and scar for the first time in 5 years had surgery in offseason then came back and had a hell of a sophomore yr

Just like he’ll come back from this one and kill it his second year in the league

We'll see. I don't like to wish ill on young brothas but I think we've seen the best of Deshaun Watson.

2 ACL tears in 3 years to both knees is devastating. Especially for a QB where mobility is a huge part of his game. Plus there is nothing to suggest he won't get injured AGAIN. He could be a guy suceptible to knee injuries.

I wouldn't expect a lot from Deshaun Watson next year.

Needed ----- 2018 Draft and Season threads from D4H

Don't worry it's coming soon. I just need to get the Pro Days numbers for some of the guys that didn't work out at the combine.

My top 5 is pretty much set in stone though:

1. RB Saquon Barkley (Penn St.)
2. S Derwin James (Florida St.)
3. WR Antonio Callaway (Florida)
4. LB Leighton Vander Esch (Boise St.)
5. CB Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama)

Honorable mention: DE Bradley Chubb (NC State), QB Josh Allen (Wyoming), QB Sam Darnold (USC)

You know you're a loser, right? Uncle Rico of "film study and prognostications."

Can someone please direct me to thread where D4H can't remember where his classes in college were because of racists or something of that sort. Trying to see that with my eyes

Fitzpatrick is gonna end up in Tampa imo

I think Derwin James ends up there. But I can see Minkah there as well.

Barkley, Fitzpatrick, James, Nelson

Any of those are fine with me as long as they don’t completely botch it the Bucs should get a great player at least in theory. The draft is a bit of a crap shoot

Gotta say I would prefer Barkley tho

At 7 that seems like a long shot but it’s definitely possible with 3 or 4 teams potentially taking QBs

James Blackman is better. And has way more upside.

Just watch what happens next year. Francois is not getting the job back. Its James Blackman's job moving forward.

The freshmen QB has actually played really well. I think it'll be his job next year even if Francois comes back. He's the more talented player.

Anyone surprised that @Dobbs 4 Heisman missed another prediction?

Deondre Francois retakes starting QB job at Florida State after 2017 season-ending injury

He'll get out of the way this season. Our great assistant coaches and players will lead the way. Bob Shoop's defense will be dominating. Top 5-10 nationally. Larry Scott is also a huge improvement over Mike Debord. Plus with better health, our high talent level will finally shine. Especially on defense where we have a lot of future NFL players.

A little over a month later - D4H : "How was I supposed to know Butch Jones was so bad?"

This guy:

Who do y'all think will be the player who has the best game for Tennessee against West Virginia? I think Ty Chandler will be Tennessee's MVP of the West Virginia game. I think Ty will run for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Tennessee beat West Virginia 30-24.

I mean....when you really weigh it....

Who do y'all think will score the first touchdown for Tennessee against Iowa in the Gator Bowl? I think Josh Dobbs runs 20 yards for a touchdown early in the 1st quarter.
Do y'all feel better going into 2015-2016 with Rick Barnes as Head Coach than you did with Donnie Tyndall going into 2014-2015? I feel better with Barnes myself,i think he'll do good things at Tennessee. Rick Barnes is a good recruiter also which will be an improvement.
