Dabo and Clemson Get #1 Recruit of 2013

Far from a homer. Clemson should never be considered a better place to play football than UT, or any other SEC school for that matter. Our stadium holds 105,000 people for a reason.

Because the stadium is really, totally the only barometer gauged as measurement when a kid's deciding what school he's going to be attending

This forum never sceases to amaze me. Give credit to our own program and conference and get ridiculed in the process. Though, stating facts to even back them up, still can't win. Love those Negavols and legion of the miserable.

While I agree with your statement, I don't think Clemson (or anywhere else in the state of South Carolina either for that matter) is one of those desirable places.

Other than the golf courses along coast from Hilton Head to North Myrtle Beach I can't think of a reason to be in South Carolina. Pretty boring state overall, especially the interior.

I thought Alabama scored in the 40s on us last season didnt they? And I know for sure UGA did in the 2010 game.

No, 37 for Bama, but sure seemed like the 40s. They scored nearly all of it in the 2nd half. UGA scored 41 on us. Regardless, it's not worth worrying about. I was just asking for my own curiosity. Anything close to those scores is too much defensive weakness.

Obviously, and total loss of recollection regarding UGA in 2010, and Bama last season too.

Check the scores again before you start accusing of "a total loss of recollection." 37 for Bama in 2011, 41 for UGA in 2010. Like I said, I'm not arguing anything, I was just curious.

Oh, I stand soo corrected in the 4 to 7 point differeces in the 45 I stated earlier. The fact Bama put 37 up on us in one half alone should have made us murder Wilcox alone.:shakehead:

Maybe not UT, considering our better history and facilities. But Clemson is a big school, plays to 85K every home game and is in a beautiful mountainous foothill area of SC, not unlike UT. They have one modern NC in 82 (we have only one modern one in 98), a strong football heritage and crazy fanbase.

Clemson not a good a place as ANY SEC school? You do realize that includes Vandy, UK, UM and a few others. This aint' 1996 any more. We are sub .500 in the past 4 years, while Clemson was in the NC discussion deep into the season last year. Don't forget, until we prove something different UT is almost a bottom feeder at the moment.

Homerism would be my guess too. Sorry.

Look dude, your the one who posted the froggy "hmm when was the last time anyone scored in the 40s on us" quote. So don't back out on me like I was way off when it has happened several times in the past two years for gods sake. 37, 41, 49 is pretty much an average of 45. Face it. :eek:k:

Someone must've pissed in your Cheerios this morning.

Stop acting like a defensive 10 year old girl. You said 45, I corrected it, and you went on the attack. Chillax, homie.

And I never said anything about Wilcox.

Fine, I'm a homer, whatever. Where does this love for Clemson come from? Oh maybe the Negavols and people that have to argue with their own fellow fanbase. :disappointed:

And you still didn't get my quote right. I said 45, not "in the 40s". But at least we agree on something, that when it's that high, it doesn't and shouldn't matter. It blows, regardless. We have to do better this year.

Haha, classic. I don't really have to spin it anymore, you already did that 3 times and failed miserably at it. Take as long as you need to pull your foot out of your mouth dude, its all good. 37, 41, (49 last year to Ark) LOL I was way off wasn't I?!! :)

Would you agree 45 is the 40s range? haha. FAIL. :birgits_giggle:

they got the #19 class on rivals and theres a ton of SEC schools ahead of them

picking up the top player is very impressive but the class besides that isnt anything special

the class they had in 2011 was really good tho

Now im not jumping on investigation bandwagon. However getting an elite group of same position will make them a tough out in the ACC anyways.

What conference has won the title the past 3 years? ACC? nope. SEC. Who puts the most players in the NFL sucessfully? ACC? Nope, SEC. Being a homer and stating facts are two different things man.

Which conference are the two schools in with the most players in the NFL? Clemson getting this kid out of the SEC is fine unless he flips to us. If we don't get him, I don't want to face him. I wish they had signed Clowney as well.

DE Nkemdeche 2013 top prospect commits to Clemson. On top of that, a few weeks ago they locked up a # 6 overall DE nationally to play along side him. If I remember correctly, last year Clemson had an enormously talented signing class on signing day and was a real sleeper in how they pulled top 10 talent away from more successful SEC caliber schools. I think the NCAA may need to take a look into Clemson's recruiting ways they are all of a sudden the new USC in the east coast when it comes comes to recruiting 5 star talents, they should investigate for any foul play in my opinion, Dabo and Clemson doesn't seem like a program that should be out recruiting the SEC. It showed how their talent ascended last season when they went 9-0 before losing a game if I recall correctly.

Not that new or big. They pulled Bowers a few years ago and another big name a year before or after that. I believe it never resulted in a great defense.

Clemson is a top notch school with a huge fan base & very nice facilities. Their stadium holds over 80k which is about what our 105k seat stadium has averaged of late. They put a lot of guys in the nfl & based on a lot of comments most of you know know nothing about South Carolina. I was born & raised in Tennessee but I have spent most of my life in SC. USCjr is an sec school & it is a dump. Columbia is a dump. I dont get into the whole SEC is awesome & ACC is weak stuff. I pull for UT & there's been nothing awesome about us lately.
