Dallas, Houston Or Denver

I'd pick denver, even though I'm not a huge fan of the freezing cold (I also don't like it 100 degrees either)

Denver, easily. Houston is awful and Dallas is pretty unremarkable. Denver has a little bit of everything.

I've been to all three and would definitely recommend Denver over the other 2. You have a great downtown scene, all sorts of out doors stuff within easy driving and some of the best weather you can imagine.

I spent 4 years in the metroplex and loved every minute of it.

The metroplex has been very good for me job wise and my family is very happy here.

That said, I have heard some great things about the Denver area. Definitely has the advantage when it comes to natural beauty/outdoorsy stuff.

I have a good friend that I used to work with who moved there several years ago and he loves it there.

Edit: Houston is definitely last

Are you wealthy and materialistic? If yes, pick Dallas.

Do you smoke weed and like to watch people ski but don't act ski yourself? Pick Denver.

Do you like driving enough to spend 4 hours traveling 45 miles from Sugarland to Kingwood at peak traffic, speak fluent Spanish and belong to the Bloods street gang? Pick Houston.

Personal income tax in Colorado might be an ugly whack but I would rather suffer winters in Denver than summers in Texas.

That being said, the Grateful Dead have always had the best advice.

Denver and dallas are both nice. Houston has it's nice parts, but it's a distant third on that list.

I've lived in Houston and Dallas. Dallas wins handily. Have heard great things about Denver and Colorado in general.

I didn't believe Houston could possibly be as bad as advertised. I was wrong.
I'm not going to play the role of Houston chamber of commerce but I do have family in the Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Baytown, Anahuac, downtown Houston and probably a few other spots in the area. I always liked the area around Rice but I haven't been there in years and don't know how it's holding up. Champion Forrest was also a nice area when I was younger. The thing about Houston is the sheer size of it. It's massive and there are good and not so good areas.

Which city is better to live in? Any ideas?

I loved Dallas, lived there for a year...The heat is horrible in the summer, but the DFW area, has everything you could possibly want plus there's no state taxes

Only traveled to Houston, for work, but been there 20+ times, and don't think I would like living there,

Denver, only traveled through there to Ski, but my current neighbor lived out there 11 years and loved it, in fact he's looking to move back

The heat in Dallas didn't bother me. It was hot but not nearly as humid as Nashville.
